Welcome to the swearing in of the First Ladies of 2018. These ladies have been chosen to produce offspring for the next six months and then be flowered out, harvested and cured so that they can be used in Thai sticks to celebrate on Dec 31, 2018, in which we'll be showcasing the first ladies of 2019.

Eight strains in this garden currently with one strain having two mother's. Today you will be introduced to four of them. Some other mother's may be chosen throughout the year as new strains are grown.

ALL MOTHER PLANTS ARE FROM SEED!

The other strains are og kush(2 mother's), Panamanian Kush(My cross), skunk, waiting for the two plants to show sex, and an unknown plant that sprouted up in a pot with a plant that got flowered outside. Decided to keep it for awhile. Waiting for it to show sex as well.

All ladies have been transplanted today. They've also been topped twice. Most have also began lst training. They're in homemade soil which is peat based. They were given a compost tea after the transplant. They'll be given a popcorn and cannabis seed sprout tea twice throughout they're lifecycle. They also have cover crop that has been planted in with them today in order to assist with keeping nutrients in the soil. As soon as the worms arrive, some will be introduced into every container.

We appreciate your attendance at this event and hope to see you at the finish line one year from today. The plan is to update twice a month and when cuttings are taken. They will be flowered out in July. They're buds will hopefully be entered into the cannabis cup in this area so that'll be mentioned as well. Thanks again for stopping by.

*****As a bonus, we'll update the growth on this runt og kush plant that we decided to flower out. It's in a one gallon pot and hasn't been trained or topped. Been in bloom for about two weeks. Should get about a pound! Hahahahahaha!*************IMG_20171231_210619.jpg

So it's been two weeks. Cover crops have been added and a few worms per container have been added. The cover crops will get haircuts next week to start the mulch layer along with any dead leaves. The ladies seem happy with their new roommates and are growing nicely. Im going to have to relocate them soon so they can have more room to grow. I was thinking about taking clones in about three weeks but I may take some sooner if they continue this growth rate. They were given a compost tea and water during this two week period. I'll give them a popcorn tea in about three to four weeks. Hoping to keep the soil life happy so the ladies will be happy which makes me happy so everyone's happy! Hahahahahaha! Peace and a Bountiful Harvest!

Waiting for this one to show sex. The other mystery plant turned out to be male. I cloned it so I'm hoping this is a female so I can make some more seeds.

I germinated some more of my crosses/Pollen Chuck's. So far, the amnesia haze cross and Mk Ultra x Panama seeds have sprouted. Waiting on the other two chucks to sprout. Hoping for a couple males to make some f2's and start breeding. Since the amnesia haze's male donor is unknown, I decided to separate the seeds by color. Some are dark, some are medium toned and some are light. So far, one dark of 3 and five medium color seeds of 5 have sprouted. I'm curious to see if there's any difference between them. I germinated a total of ten so there's still two of two light seeds and two dark seeds yet to sprout.

Please take a puff in memory of this beautiful pineapple haze plant that is now dead. Powdery mildew decided it wanted her more than I did. :cry:bongsmilieIMG_20180127_023921.jpg IMG_20180127_022930.jpg IMG_20180127_022911.jpg

Joe... explain to me how you are battling your powdery mildew problems? What is your arsenal/regiment? I've been down this path... it's hard to beat!

Besides the baking soda/water treatment I've been using milk/water. It worked on the others but this one I guess was too far gone. I'm trying to figure out what to do about cleaning up the room before my clones are ready to go in. I've got Sativa's going that still have two to almost three months left. Sorry for taking so long to respond, working two jobs now.

the issue is, you have spores in your room... and they're not going to go away. you need to sterilize your room and kill spores. i highly suggest getting a sulfur burner and sulfur prills/pellets. it will save you a lot of time spraying plants, and will also kill spores hiding in your room. it's literally the only way i could end the madness. once you reach a certain point in flower, you gotta stop spraying the ladies because it slows down plant growth (from what i noticed anyway). the sulfur does not seem to do this at all. Just trying to help you end the madness... PM is a BITCH to get rid of, and that was the only way i was able to.

Thanks. I'll look into getting a sulfur burner. I just don't know why it's not affecting my haze's. Only my kush plants. Maybe the haze's are bread to naturally fight it.

yeah i dont know why either. they could have better resistance, or you just got to spraying them before they got infected. i'm assuming you're spraying all plants. all i know is that shit can take over a garden FAST. i'd rather be surprised by common mites in my garden than PM any day lol.

there are some good instructions on 420magazine if you google using a sulfur burner for powder mildew. and amazon has decent prices on the burner and the prills
