From Tim Burton's book of poems called "The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and Other Stories".

The Girl with Many Eyes

One day in the park,
I had quite a surprise.
I met a girl,
who had many eyes.

She was really quite pretty
(and also quite shocking)
and I noticed she had a mouth,
so we ended up talking.

We talked about flowers,
and her poetry classes,
and the problems she'd have
if she ever wore glasses.

It's great to know a girl
who has so many eyes,
but you get really wet
when she breaks down and cries.

I went to a Tim Burton exhibition at Tiff lighthouse in Toronto. It was epic. They had this huge sculpture out front that was designed specifically for the Toronto portion of the tour. Since it was Christmas time, there was a tree. The next place the show went to, the "monster" would be eating valentines day stuffs.

Also, he wrote little blurbs all over his sketches in art school. On my favourite he wrote:

"I use mayonnaise instead of pencils."

That's when I developed a bit of a crush....he's awesome!

(admiration possible came through in profile picture). Had a "Nightmare before Christmas Party" instead of a traditional Christmas one several years ago. Too fun...and LOADS of cookies...
