The how much money have you saved from not buying LP and growing your own thread

I was thinking about how I used to have to buy pot, and how the few times I bought LP weed I got raped so bad on price (and poisoned but this thread is about $$), since they don't cut deals like the BM for quantity etc.

I used to have to spend a lot of money on medicine and this thread is about how much we have all saved growing our own vs. buying at LP prices.

I'll start. This last grow run I saved myself 9,600.00$ if I had to buy it from LP's @ an average of 300$/oz inc tax. On top of that I saved the person I grow for 8,424$, if they had to purchase it. So that is 18k saved that LPs didn't earn, and that didn't make the sick even poorer and sicker having to earn it.

Overgrow corporate cannabis!

can count on one hand how many here bought poison shwags..

they wont selll their poison. they dont understand the culture,,,,US! :weed:

I save $162000 per year on what oil would cost me per gram from a LARGE
POISON PRODUCING SHWAG BUSINESS !

At 3000 mgs a day... thats 486000.... Only half a fucking million is all

for something that cost PENNIES in the BACK YARD!
and that is FREE FROM POISON:cuss::cuss::cuss::wall::finger::sleep::evil::dunce::wall::o

Well considering I swapped from gaming on a beast of a pc to indoor growing. Now my power usage has dropped a little. And my weed tastes even better than what I was getting. But all up. I'd say just shy of a grand over a couple grows. I'm only a cab grower after all. So I don't get too much from it just yet.

This is hard for me to determine, I likely spent around $3000-4000 or so on all the equipment and other stuff required to grow that I purchased (including shit I never used). My first grow I got 4 oz's my second I pulled 670g just in tops and mids (I tossed the lower shit in with trim and never weighed as I just made hash to make cannabis infused coconut oil with), and this one I have no idea how much I will pull when it completes next month but I am guessing 8oz off of the 2 plants. I would guess I have broke even at this point if we are simply comparing to lowest price $5/g stuff from LP's but I am beyond sure that this current grow is going to produce better than anything I was stupid enough to buy from them. There is more too it though imo, it has brought me pleasure I was not obtaining simply buying shit, I truly enjoy growing the plant more than I have ever enjoyed its effects and if I was not growing for myself I would likely become a DG for my wife just so that I could continue to grow.

I can't bring myself to quit gaming even with these $300 power bills (it was $250/month before growing).

Well in that case. Taking into consideration cost of parts. I'm actually still behind by about $150. But I'm in the process of rearranging my setup. Allowing me to double the output at no extra cost. So I might even be able to get ahead by at least a couple hundred a run from now on.

Edit- I stopped gaming due to a toxic community. Survival rpg isn't fun when assholes come to ruin your shit just about every second or third day.

My crap is a little out dated but an i5 3570k with a gtx 970. It runs everything I play well enough to not worry about grabbing new gen gear yet, I would like to move up to an i7 at some point or maybe the next gen of i5 though.

Sweet. Considering most modern games arent using 4 CPU cores yet, you're golden. Thats fine. I also have a 970. As long as I can game at 1080p max or ultra settings I'm good. Havent moved on to 1440p yet. And GPUs are just starting to be able to run 4k at 40-60fps. But the cost.... I was looking at 1080ti's Yesterday and those fuckers still run between $1050-1200. Prices of RAM skyrocketed again too.......

Yea, they simply are not worth it for anyone without tons of money to waste on little performance increase. Samsung supply issues are causing the ram price spikes again I bet, it's a shame because there have been times where ram was cheaper than a semi decent keyboard. I am still on DDR3 so if I did want more (I don't, I have 24gb) it would not be as bad as grabbing DDR4 but still, the prices are a little unreasonable currently.

Do any of you think when cannabis becomes fully legal federally that there will be super clean top shelf cannabis of all flavors? And really easy to get? Like a drive down to the store easy? And if so...do you think it will be cheaper than your current electricity usage (if indoors) to grow your own now?

I used to game on an ROG Z87 mitx rocking an i7 4770k and 16gb ddr3. I forget at what frequency or latency timings my ram had. And the gpu was an older Gainward Phantom GTX580 3gb.

I used to play a lot of Elderscrolls: Oblivion & Skyrim. Tried H1Z1 or DayZ whatever the fk it was I played. All I know is. People on that game sucked ass.

Same deal with ARK:SE. Assholes left right and center. Used to play it offline. But the updates kept changing shit. I lost half one of my bases in a hill. And another ended up being stuck floating in midair because the devs choose to delete a fookin rock.

If by flavors you mean the complete lack thereof, yes, but not top shelf by any means. Where I live, we will have no brick and mortar store, Ontario gets almost none of them so obtaining product outside of a few places is going to be difficult. They can not produce it cheap enough to sell it lower than my electricity usage for a grow.
