V3 sounds very interesting. How/where can I get one?
Cooltube places a glass of significant thickness between the bulb and the plant. Since electricity consumption=exposure, it makes sense to make the most of the watt. That's why I was planning on getting the diamond reflector and mylar.
BTW all I am saying is theory. Until now all I grew was hair.

well yeah, compared to the Extreme - one beautiful piece of gear at half the $$ with better reviewslooks like a bastard son of a a blender and a dishwasher.
just google 3v,fill out the online form and the card comes in the post a couple of weeks later.i got a few of them emergency foil blankets and they work just as good as mylar(my opinion)theyre about 1.50euro each in tesco or even cheaper on ebay.

you can use a flat white paint for good reflection as well.... and my how this irish growers thread has grew since i last posted in here! go green!

alrite my fellow irish men, just up north ere, got myself a couple of girl growing lol 1 fem big band 2 weeks form harvest under A 400W which is my third grow, and the fourth has just started wiv chiesel and trainwreck both femed and then a regular cheese and ice,

What you mean 3x400w lights for 130? Complete lights with ballast, bulb&shade?
If so, you wouldn't remember the URL?
Maybe I should just post my order here. Because it runs to ca 800 quid for a 600W setup. You seem to be muuuch cheaper.
i keep my 400w about 16inches from the top and never had a prob with burning,if you rest your palm on the top of the plant for a few minutes and the back of your hand doesnt get too hot you should be ok,i hope i explained that right

Put your hand over your plants, if heat is uncomfortable for you its uncomfortable for your plants.

got it all for 130,the lights are 2nd hand,the ballasts are integrated with new phillips bulbs and shades,i seen a 600w from the same seller yesterday for 50euro and 22.50 delivery.i know sweet f.a. about urls but just go to the grow light category on ebay

wow, this thread is growing like crazy. to be fair, i cant see the garda using a flir to find you out. the only way ud get found out is by telling people you grow. but dont get paraniod about ordering stuff online. ive bought seeds a good few times, lights and a good few enthobotanics, my house should be seriously maked, but i havent been busted yet, and that was all well over a year ago.... as for the esb bill, running a 600w lamp on 12/12 works out at 7.2kwh a day. thats like leaving your heater on for an extra few hours. whats also nice is that cos its getting lighter, ur not using so much on lights, my esb bill went down by 100 last month, so its gonna equal out perfectly with ur lights, the price for last month and the next month should be the same. if ur still mega paranoid, just change all of ur lights in ur house to cfls, u can save round 30% of ur bill from the saving in energy.
