The prospect of the sudden heart attack of a real crisis is a frankly terrifying thought.

How the fuck can America, with the largest military and the most money be kidding friends around the globe?

Maybe because we're feckless, lying, unreliable, self absorbed and dangerous assholes who seem to give no fucks about anyone but ourselves?

Naaaaah, that couldn't have anything to do with it!

We should send out memos to all our allies; 'kowtowing will begin at once, or we send in the drones'. That should work.

    Sobering?
All that article does is make me want to drink (being Irish it doesn't take much), thinking that we got this asshole destroying everything this nation has been trying to accomplish for decades, just in the span of 8 months.
He already has set this country on fire with his divisive politics, and where does that leave us when the other nations of the world look and listen to our own internal strife and madness.
As the writer of that "sobering" article stated, "We will be living with the consequences of Trump’s tenure as chief executive and commander in chief for decades. Damage will continue to appear long after he departs the scene
There are many reasons to be appalled by President Trump, including his disregard for constitutional norms and decent behavior. But watching this unlikeliest of presidents strut on the treacherous stage of international politics is different from following the daily domestic chaos that is the Trump administration. Hearing him bully and brag, boast and bluster, threaten and lie, one feels a kind of dizziness, a sensation that underneath the throbbing pulse of routine scandal lies the potential for much worse. The kind of sensation, in fact, that accompanies dangerously high blood pressure, just before a sudden, excruciating pain."
Well ttystikk, thanks for the link to that well written article, as it gave me another reason to start killing my liver early today

    Nice

i know right, folks used to shoot just to get the attention of a suntanned little girl billboard actress, or
because a dog told them too. ' used to let just about anyone shoot anyone in the old days, wtf happened to this country.

Like most it's all gone to shit with corporate help. The Trump win startled the world and he's performing as expected. Doing everything to upset the apple-cart and set his rich pals up for a windfall even if the rest of us have to take the hit.

War is good for the economy and the rich pricks always win no matter who comes out on top once the dust settles. It's been playing out like that even before the Great War to end all wars, WW I.

The greatest threat to western society is sitting in the White House tearing down the foundations of the free society our forefathers died to build and preserve.

Can any of us survive four years of what is obviously the worst and most dangerous presidency the US has had to suffer?

The best piece of advice I can offer is the one I was given in grade school back in the late 50s regarding the nuclear threat.

Put your head between your knees and kiss your ass goodbye!

Don't beat around the bush, you polite Canuck.
What you meant to say, I believe, is that Canada is FUCKED, not fooked , just like the rest of the planet with Trump in the WH.
Call a spade a spade, you have my permission

the congress needs to get a fucking spine..ryan, mcconnell but they can't they're all in too deep; they will all be serving time.

60 people went to jail for watergate; a mere break-in, in its most simplest form.

isn't it treason, to know people are accepting payola from an unfriendly actor and NOT report this to FBI?

The powers that be learned their Watergate lessons well; they've diligently broken the chains of accountability, leaving no one in the harm's way of Justice...

Such is the reward of the rich when we legalize bribery on an industrial scale.

It's been going on for a lot longer than Herr Chumpster Fuhrer has been in orifice. Think of him as a consequence, rather than any sort of cause.

That has been my question..get fuck face and pinch face together.

I wonder how many have thought, if they only knew they would get away with it?

Pretty surprised myself, guess it's only the righties who have guns.

Can anyone imagine if he were a dem how GOP heads would have exploded over a president like him?

They freaked over obamas choice of mustard.

Petty fucks time to get rid of them.

We must make certain they are never allowed to forget this monster.

Everyone watched Wall Street and thought they could be Gordon Gecko.

We have legitimised corruption to the point where honest business is driven out of the marketplace.
