Its great for those of you that like to make qwiso...oil...
Best done outside on a covered porch...or 3 season screen porch...
Thing with -30 plus temps its usually very still out (no wind) can clear...skies.
With the entire set of your gear and bud frozen to minus 30C or ambient air temp colder the better.
Its the perfect climate to begin your oil making process.
the washes at this temp. will be absolutely clear or light light yellow...and with
the rest of the procedure as per standard qwiso making... with time and patience
you will end up with an ultra clear oil that tastes amazing.

I have done both ways...rice cooker was the fastest...but always on the lowest setting

yes no agitation or shaking....i would usually do the quickest washes possible...
10 to 30 seconds max.. then thru filters

yes for sure...and I slow drip from the filter for the second wash..so you can reclaim as much as possible...
the second wash will have a touch of color to it...due to extended exposure of your product to the solvent...
it will still make a decent oil for meds or smoking...

Is it? If you spread some on a paper, does it look like reddish hash oil or black tar ganja. My first wash is nice, but the second wash is like ganja.

really the temps and all the gear pre-chilled it will just buy you some time...while your prepared weed....quickly soaks in iso....
and the heads dissolve very quickly so its possible to get really clear batches...
Batch sizes can also affect the time frame...so it can be better to do 3 or 4 small washes and strains....all under the really cold conditions... rather than say 2 lbs at a time..
and plenty of fresh air....and airflow outside...

It's a golden red goo if I spread on a zig zag, dried trim and everclear were in deep freeze a few days. I saw a you tube video, guy said wash 3 minutes, then rice cooker. I never tried everclear before so I used his method. It tastes ok, but does look black when lumped together.

3 mins or less ....less seeing less % being washed out and less fats and so on...frozen gives you this..

If the herb being used isnt to old.

Old cured herb gives you this oil washing it longer..
cherry oil
