Not everyone understands this, but organic soil farmers just avoid adding anything that needs flushing in the first place, instead relying on a soil web of life that provides for a plant's needs from germination to senescence.Maybe that's why exactly zero dirt farmers -of any crop other than cannabis- subscribe to this notion of "flushing." Yes zero. Should I flush my rhubarb too? How about the carrots? Tomatoes? What about the conifers?

So back to MTF! What's the known history of the varietal? Indica? Sativa? Sweet? Skunky? I mean how are we to know if these seeds that @Soul Sativa has are the legit? I've only been in AK for 3 years and have no history with it at all... its got a helluva legacy and I'd love to know!

Yeah thanks got that but... I'm asking about HISTORICALLY, what's to be expected from these seeds. The only description offered in post #1 is that its a "great strain." Later its leaf characteristics are defined but that's it.
My question is for anyone with back-in-the-day MTF experience: what characteristics might SS expect from the plants that will confirm (as much as possible) that its actually legit MTF? Other than a killer name, what makes or made MTF stand out enough to support a thread 20, 30 years later. As I understand, part of MTF's allure was its early outdoor finishing time, right? But flavor, structure, smell... what is this MTF?

Either you choose to ignore the part about not debating and no bs or you didn't really read the original post.
There is mixed history on the Web about this strain. This thread is only for other serious growers who want mtf again. The seeds are what I planted, those aren't available. Clones only.

Well SS you referenced "...other serious growers that remember the flavor and daze of the MTF days." So I figured you were saying you'd experience with it too.
I'm not questioning your genetics or your word. I hope you do have original beans. But anyone can claim to have MTF or any other strain on the internet and others probably have. That's why I remain curious to know about the original- what flavor and daze do you hope to find in the seed? Not to gotcha or anything, I don't know the strain, have seen conflicting info online. But you claim to have it, and I thought you said you remembered the flavor from the 80s. That's why I asked. Sure I;m skeptical about anyone claiming to have MTF but I've no reason to call you out and I'm not. Good luck with the grow.

The flavor has a piny spruce that is very pronounced. It's a bitter smoke and the stone is very heady and will make you clean out your pantry making bizzare recipes that sound good; just before you fall asleep watching the beginning of a trilogy or series with full commitment to se it all, only to crash in the first 10 minutes. It's a wreak-your-afternoon kind of a strain.
Specifically; it's starts off punching your reality card, almost instantly. Next is an uplifting sativa experience that evolves into an indica finish. It's an amazing strain.

I've been up here since 1977 and have never run into it, though to be honest never spent much time in the Anch bowl or the valley where I've read it was pretty prevalent.
