about 3 months of glassblowing. self teaching myself

Nice piece! I like your torch, I almost got the wildcat but the guy at the shop talked me into the nortel midrange plus instead.

I have a buddy who taught himself and within a year he started blowing some really nice pieces.

Looks great, man. I love pipes in that style. Glassblowing is very high up on my list of things I need to learn to do. It looks like rockin' good fun.

I figured this would be a good intro post ;)

I got the wildcat off ebay for $250. I think maybe I shoulda went with a different torch though, not much of a pinner flame and lacking penetration unless I crank it up.
the midrange would be a better choice for sure

my first 2 months was spending hours a day trying to make a pipe, once I got it it was a matter of melting in smooth and trying to understand the flame characteristics,
now I'm trying to make the pipes faster

thanks again for the props, more to come for sure
