The SCROG direction.

Can someone point me to a good guide for SCROGing one plant? I have blue dream growing right now and I just topped the 3rd set of branches. I want to know how to do this the best I can so I get the most out of my space and the single plant. 2x2x4 grow box. I'll have about 4sqft to scrog her. I want to know when to LST and do some cropping. And when to add the screen. And how do I fill it in good. Can I top branches that are through the screen then weave them in when they grow out?

Youtube has tons of videos on scrogging.

Have you read any of the grow journals? Loads of start to finish logs of killer SCROG grows. I'd read some of those, it gives me the first two years of college back lol.

I just knocked a quick scrog together out of some Cls timber and a bit of 2 inch mesh. Ignore the peace lily that's just for demonstration. 600x500x600mm.woukd suit a small closet grow or could have 4 squared in a 1.2m tent with a minimal amount of cat swinging space towards the front or back

If your doing one plant just use bamboo and some string.

It's just another form of training.

I made mine out of 2x2 and it hangs.

This way I undo one side and it zipties up so that it's out of way when not needed.

Why build legs - gravity was free.

Built the legs in mine so I could add a base for the pot to sit on. Then if you need to move it you move everything as one unit. Agreed though you can go about training just about any way you wish. Even merging some methods to suit your space and style. I really enjoy the building side too but can see why people would be put off. Think the best advice anyone can give this chap is every space and setup is different. It's upto you to figure how to best utilise it

If it just one plant you use the dirt in the pot to support the legs.

You can buy single pot scrog nets that just stick in the dirt.

See previous reply regarding falling over. I'm in a tent in the loft. I have about 60cm of floorspace that I laid left in front of the tent and a high probability of me tripping up trying not to put my foot through the ceiling . I needed sturdy and I can jump on the ones I built so I'm winning my own battle at least

Ok so it all depends on veg time and height availability.

I bet about 40-50 days then move to scrog tent.

By now topped twice and lst to keep level canopy.

I then put the net down.

Keep 18" between net and top of pot.

The number is up to you.

18" gives me room to work and water.

Just keep tucking.

Once screen is about 80% I kick into flower.

Then I end up about 8" - 12" above scrog at finish.

I run led so get next to no stretch.

Im planning on vegging till they're ready. No set time in mind. I will have about 12 inch from pot Top to screen. Can gain another 4 inches by switching pots if absolutely necessary. I plan on having a funnel and hose from front of tent to each individual pot for watering and because I have 4 individual nets and bases I can pull them out as they are when it's time to lollipop or check my runoff PH etc. It is whatever works for you really. Can get as creative as you like or keep it simple af

Thank you everyone for their input. I already have a scrog net made from string ready to go. Pics later. Working on a smaller one for the bag seed when I move it to its separate box. I want room and all the lights to focus on the Blue Dream. She's lookin mighty fine. Rest of my stuff comes in today to finish the other little grow box. Waiting on smart pots to transfer plants into fox farm soil. Think I got the jist of it. Did some LST and cropping this morning before lights go off at noon. I'll check her out again tonight when lights come back on after 6pm.

Once the new box is set up I'm moving the bag seed there and start flowering. High hopes it's female!!! Should be starting 12/12 flip next week.
