Theory: Lower fan speeds=lower temps.........

I have been amending my stealth nightstand and working for the most amount of watt at the lowest temp.Recently i have figured out that my temps stay around 7-10 degrees cooler with my fans turned down???? I think the reason is because one fan is positioned in the corner of the box(Moves air off of lights) and the other as a outtake with a DIY Carbon filter.I think because the corner fan is enclosed, the heat from the motor is too much? I dont see this as a problem because my temps with lights on is around 73 with 150 watts, in a 24inX24inx10in nightstand.

Just wanted the RIU crews opinion,

i know pictures would help ,but i have no camera:neutral:

Do you have an active intake and exhaust, or only exhaust with an ambient fan? You may be experiencing an issue with a pressure drop.

It has 50 or so 1in wholes in the floor of it that are my passive intake, the corner fan is used to moved the air around and off the lights and the exhaust fan runs out the back .The corner fan is at the opposite end of the exhaust fan.I have my fan speed controller inside of the box, could that be why?

I'd move any type of power supply/transformer/dc reg outside the box to cut down on heat... maybe just use a fan to skim the heat at the top on out; and take that circulating fan attach the filter to it, as well as a filter on the exhaust fan for smells sake; unless you can use some plexi and divide the lights from the plants into it's own airspace; then you may not even need to exhaust the plant room; just recirculate the air through a filter and seal the holes...?

I cranked it back up to full speed to see if it went up and it did but only a few degrees this time.It must have been a hot day getting into the 80's but it seems to be running better temps now at 77 hi and 63 low.My fans never turn off either.on a second note why would i want a fully inclosed box? I understand it is stealth but plants need fresh air do they not? I feel like i could run maybe two lights with a inclosed box without overheating
