Couldn't find a good thread to attach this to so I started one, too funny not to. I was just listening to Romney's senior advisor on CNN. Anchor asks if all the dissing of each other (paraphrasing) will hurt him in the fall. So this guy says, "No, you hit the reset button. It's like you have an Etch-A-Sketch, and you get to wipe it all away." I kid you not.

Actually, while this sounds silly, it is fairly true. Hillary and Obama whomped each other pretty hard in 2008 and it didn't mean a hill of beans when the general came about.

Yeah I know, and I remember. And, I know we always say this, but this has been worst :) Lots of fodder for dems' ads.

Yes, because we know the Democrats cannot run on Obama's record, they will have to make the opponent supposedly a worse choice.

How that is possible is beyond me...

They all do it, NL. Every party, every stripe. They're all scum, every one. I just thought this was a(nother) silly thing for one of them to say.

ok not to harp on this but really this guy's comment was even worse than I thought. I thought the reporter had mentioned the bad blood between candidates etc, but what she actually referred to was the fact that Romney has been forced to the right on many issues, in order to garner favor with conservatives. To that, the advisor talked about the Etch-A-Sketch. The inescapable implication is that Romney will be free to change his position on pretty much anything in the fall. Which he is known for, apparently. Heard a good name for him the other day -- Reversible Mittens lol.
btw, there is nothing ideological in this post, I can't stand any of 'em. Stuff like this is just so absurd
