I got a new sous vide immersion circulator. Today I’ll be making a big ass cowboy/tomahawk steak. The fucker is 2 inches thick:hump:

I seasoned it up nicely.

Now it’s vac sealed and waiting for it’s water bath.

When it’s finished I’m going sear it over a hot ass wood fire. I’ll post pics later on tonight of the finished product.

Man, that sounds good, what's on it? Salt pepper rosemary? That's usually what I do, plus sage. And garlic, lots of garlic. I haven't had a steak in weeks. I'm gonna have to grab me a porterhouse next time I go shopping, thanks Gary.
I put salt, pepper, and garlic. Then I added fresh rosemary to the bag before sealing. Normally I’ll add rosemary and butter to the pan towards the end of the cook. But since I’m using sous vide I’m gonna sear it really hot and fast on the grill at the end. I’m aiming for a perfect medium rare.
