One thing to note...i get better light using the appropriate bulb. Which is to say when you dim a 1000k to 600 or 400 you get spectral changes as well as intencity changes...as 1000k bulb is not designed to run at 6 and 4 hundred watts...it can be done. It is done....but a 6oo watt bulb is going to give you a better spectrum than a 1k bulb set at 600....also never try crank a 600 to the 1k setting...kaboom...anyway food for thought as i can see the difference in mine ..so in the long run its better to have the appropriat bulbs for wattage output....they will last longer also....
