its fine, just do what you're doing. but no nutes. you can move to bucket when roots poke thru bottom, hopefully its in something that allows that
Thanks for the info. I was just a little nervous about not seeing the leaves yet but hopefully it will open up soon!

This is what I came up with so far from researching. What do you guys think? Not mentioned is of course checking the ph levels and ppm's daily.

Here is what I plan to do:

Germination:

Soak rockwool cube in ph'd water for 30min.
Remove cube and shake dry.
Add seed to rockwool and slightly cover top with the rockwool.
Then add rockwool into dwc bucket for growth.

DWC 5 Gallon Bucket :

Fill bucket up with ph'd water and fill to just bottom of net cup.
Place in airtstone and connect air pump. Turn on air pump.
Rinse hydroton and add small layer to bottom of net cup.
Place rockwool cube inside net cup and fill surrounding area with hydroton.

LED ViparSpectra 300 watt Full Spectrum:

Set LED light 36-40" from seedling. No fan turned on.
Once seedling sprouts, lower LED light to 24" through veg stage. Fan turned on.
For flowering stage, lower LED light to 18" Fan turned on.
Light cycle 18/6 from seed to harvest.

Nutrients:

Using General Hydroponics Flora Nova Grow and FloraNova Bloom.

Nutrient feeding schedule:

Week
1 - pH water
2- very very light grow nutes 1/8 amount
3- light grow nutes 1/4 amount
4- grow nutes - 1/2 amount preflowers show around here
5 - Grow/Bloom nutes - 1/2 and 1/2
6- Grow/Bloom 40:60
7- Grow/Bloom 20:80
8- Bloom
9 - Bloom
10 - Bloom
11- flush?
12 - flush?

Will dump and replace water in bucket every two weeks.

If there are any revisions or just plain bad mistakes please give me some advice!

Thanks
You might have to time your nutrients differently as most auto strains mostly only live for around 70-80 days. So saying that you may have to start flushing a week earlier and then it only takes 11 weeks. I've just finished an auto pounder in dwc and this plant out grown expectations.49in tall.
My advice is 1 plant per bucket. I grown 2 in the same res and 1 off them grew twice as big as the other due to invading each others space, sadly 1 off them didn't get much light.i will post my overall weight once dry.

I plant on only growing one plant in the dwc bucket for now. I think the easiest way for me to get into the bucket would be just to pull out one of the empty net pods and gain access that way.
Stick to one plant per pot...trust me

I'm back! I started germination about 3 days ago and this is what I have so far. I just removed the seed from the plant as it has not dropped on its own. What do you guys think so far? Everything look ok?View attachment 3892555 View attachment 3892556 Humidity is around 85 degrees. Also when do you think this should be placed into the DWC bucket with light?
Looking good.. I put mine in the res as soon as it it shown through..
The roots can sense where water is and reach towards it.
Also in dwc all that disolved oxygen in the roof space of your bucket is framed with fresh oxygen which will encourage roots to grow in that direction (down).
Get a spray gun on mist settings and put a small amount off root boost mixed with ph water and spray on to the rockwool .i did this myself and my plants went crazy big and healthy.

I started the nutes yesterday (added 2.5mil of General Hydroponics Flora Grow) and this is what it looks like now. Plant is around 2 weeks old. Does this plant look healthy? I see 2 roots coming out of the basket and the roots are white. The LED light is about 28" from plant.20170226_212922.jpg

It needs food pal.all plants grow differently and some have more than others when it comes to natural stored energy or food that the seedling has when its starts growing.
You need to spray the base of your rockwool with nutes as well as nutes in the res, this will encourage rapid growth.
Put your light lower and stick the fan in a position where the plant moves with a little shimmer, as with using leds you rely on the heat it produces to warm your grow space so try not to blow to much heat away.

Ok it was just odd to me that before I added the nutes, the leaves were nice and green and then all of a sudden the leaves now looked like the picture. I asked this same question on another forum with the same pic and one person said it was nute burn and possible light burn. I wanted to get some more answers from ppl before I was going to flush half the water out and replace with ph'd water to drop the nute amount.

Your leaves should have a very healthy green look to them.your leaves have a yellow ting to them.it look like lack of food like I said.and to ensure it is more than likely that are you using calmag and cannazym these to fluids are vital.

Did you add the nutrients to ratio on the back of the bottle.

I have cal mag which I just bought for when I start my soil grow but did not know you can use cal mag with a hydro grow. The other stuff you said I never heard of.

On the back of the bottle it said to add 1tsp per gallon. I based my set up on 4 gallons and did 1/8th of what it says to do which came out to around 2.5mil which is what I added. No other liquids were added.

Ok. I used calmag when I started seeing a rustic spotty deficiency on leaves.im not saying you have this but 9/10 times calcium that is in your tap water isn't enough,so give it a boost.go for minimum ratio 1ml per litre.
Cannazym is an added enzym or bacteria that eats away at rotted roots dead roots and also if your water temp rises this helps prevent bad bacteria forming and keeps your roots healthy and white.
Plus I didn't read your post properly and noticed you are using 2.5ml of nutes.
That's too much, because roots get direct access to the nutes just add 1/4 of the recommended dose at first, watch your plants they will tell you if there hungry or not.if they are just put a couple mls of extra nutes direct in res then just keep an eye on your ph again and check ppm.
So yes pal either add more plain phd water to the res to dilute and drop the ppm, or completely change res again and put a more precise reading of nutes and monitor this.
I wrote down my ppm and ph every day. And also on water changes.
It helps towards the next grow.trust me it helps.

what is your pH and ppm/EC? if you don't already have these 2 meters, you should pick them up pronto. hard to do hydro without them.

and I would suggest using RO or distilled water too. eliminates your water source as a potential problem.

My pH is holding around 5.8-6.3. My ppm before nutes was averaging around 205-210 and after nutes was added it went up to 342.

Thanks for that info! Ok so you said add just a 1/4 of what it recommends, on the back of my bottle it states for seedlings add 1/2 tsp per gallon. Then its says For Most Plants During Early Growth add 1tsp per gallon and this is what I went by. So 4 gallons would equal 4 tsp at 1/4 amount would be a total of 4.92 ml of nutes. Am I doing this wrong?

what water are you using? tap? well? other? what is the ppm of just your water,, no nutes?

those ppms are too high IMO. for seedlings like that, i keep my EC around 0.2 to 0.3 (100 to 150 ppm depending on brand of meter).

I ran my ph at 5.9 and early veg stage around 350 ppm. My plant done fine as you can see from pics.i up the veg blooms by about a 100ppm more every week for 4 weeks.total on 4th week was around 650ppm.
Remember all plants are different.
I know people that put there ppm upto 1000ppm in veg just because that was what the plant wanted.
Half a table spoon is around 2.5ml right.
2.5 ml divided by just over 4 litres equals to only around .6 ml per litre.
I don't think this is enough.
I used 1ml of veg per litre and also fed rootmass over the rockwool.
Put the calmag in as soon as possible if it is that then the problem will rectify its self quite quickly as long as you don't leave it too long.
If its a feed deficiency then add nutes.
Just keep a close eye on things as you make changes as I said as soon as you notice a difference just solve it by researching leaf problems online to mach these problems.
The reason I said it could be either 2 of the things I mentioned is that the signs in the leaves are very similar.
Watch the serated tips if they go light brown then its nite burn(outside of leafs are affected first)
If its yellowing of leafs inside out then that's more than likely calcium difficiency (use calmag).
