Thoughts on mainlining

What are your guys thoughts on mainlining? My plan was going to be pretty similar, but I hear pros and cons to it. I'm growing organic in bigger pots if that matters.

Looks cool for sure, but.....

My theory has always been to just try to grow an even horizontal canopy of big leaves, wall to wall. Buds will fill in.

If you want to grow baseball bat colas this looks like a great way to do it.

The main reason for me is there is no popcorn buds, just fats colas, makes trimming and drying an absolute breeze instead of having to snip around 100 extra grape sized nugs

If you do your mainlining when the plant is growing agressively, it barely slows it down. I suggest a high penetrating light and good air movement if you want to pull baseball bat length nugs. HPS or high quality led

Its works well ( with most strains ) ... I use a slighty different approach by leaving two lower branches that will add into " fill ".

This one has been topped once and after will be topped again in a few days.
The large fans were left to provide more energy to plant in its repair and growth and will be removed after tops have formed.

Definitely do it.. Makes for an awesome plant..
