Three vs. Five-or spotting the male

Hey! A buddy told me recently that if a plant over thirty days doesn't have any five pointers it will probably be male. He pointed out a plant to me and later on it turned out that he was right. Has anyone heard this? This was new one to me.

man i wish that was true....my male had five within 3 weeks.....my female didn't have 5 until about a month and a week.soooo..i don't think that is that accurate

myth. if you don't have seven points in 30 days you need to figure out why. some strains are slow but 7 points in a month is no big thing.

Yeah...kinda thought it was good to be true. Outta my new "crop" everone's got five's and sevens and they are 30 days today. Gettin' ready to switch lighting to 12/12!!!!
