OK,Miracle grow soiless mix c/w time release fertilizers.How do you flush such a monster.Also to promote amber trichs could you put the plant into total darkness for the final push?.I am tired of waiting after 11 weeks flowering to me it's TIME.Showgirl

I cut a few colas early and saw that my bud had aged within 30hrs of cut,trichs turned color after cut, maybe its the plants last gasp..
I dont know about the 24hrs of darkness,some say do it others laugh at the idea.

Question, why would you have to flush? I thought the time release where like gone after 90 days? Why not switch to just plain water? VV

I am only using water for a week now and there are some stickys around about getting rid of nutes from time release mix.One is cut it of at the stem and put it in a bucket with are stone for 4-5 days tricks into thinking it is still alive and takes up only water for sure.I may try that method yet.Showgirl

Nah VV, MG soils have nutrients that last for up to 6 months or something rediculous like that.

Showgirl, im not sure where you heard that trick of cutting the stem, but I would deffently research it a bit more before doing it. How would the plant absorb water if you cut it at the stem... it would have no roots.... I dont see that idea working, and I wouldnt reccomend trying it.

Also can we get an updated picture to make sure you are not cutting early?

goodluck = )

Do you have a microscope to check the trichs?

Also, leaving the plant in total darkness the last day or so, is very questionable. Some say it works, others say it does not. Its really up to you, most people dont, but maybe you should test it out and see what happens? I have read from some seedbanks, that they reccomend the last week in total darkness, seems like a bit of an overkill, but never know till I try I guess.

O, and what strain is this? And the plant has been growing for a total of 2 1/2 months, or flowering for 2 1/2 months?

Don't no what strain some guesses we're sativa / indica cross.I would say more sativa .Lots of trichs still mostly clear some milky and no amber to be found at 11 weeks flowering SG

Wow, 11 weeks flowering and still no amber trichs... must have alot of sativa in it. Going to be some good smoke! I love sativa highs!

Well just dont get impatient showgirl, let those babies keep packing on the pounds = )

Just curious what type of high are you looking for from this plant? Are you goign to harvest when trichs are cloudy, with a little bit of amber? Or a cloudy amber mix, or mostly amber?

I think that when I see amber in a few places I'll cut her after a week.Just afraid to chop to early and lose potency so if I see amber then I know she's ready enough. Showgirl:weed:
