Timer question

Which way does the red switch on the side of this timer need to be for the timer to be on.. Up or Down?

actually, thats wrong.. ^^

I just found a paper insert that came with it and it says...

"Slide switch on side of timer UP to activate. NOTE: When red switch is down, timer is deactivated and light/accessory will be on 24 hrs"

Just wanted to post that in case anymore noobs like me read this so they dont fuck there grow up.

lol y didnt u test it at 1 minute intervals to see if it worked,im sure u had a spare 5 min?

or plug it in set it and turn the dial to see if it shut off where you set it........
