Hello all, suffering from severe tinnitus and wondering if anyone knows any strains that provide any relief. Ive tried a few that only seem to worsen it. Very loud, high pitched 24/7/365 for a couple years now and getting worse. Thanks in advance. Craig

Hmm not sure any strains are going to be helpful. One of the chief effects of thc is hyper-arousal of the senses, auditory included. So yeah makes sense it makes it worse. Maybe try high cbd strains?

I dont think any type of weed is going to help, and can potentially make it worse.
And if you listen to loud music, use headphones?? STOP. If you play electric guitar, or any loud instrument?? Turn it away from you, and use good ear plugs. Youre fucked, if youre a singer.

Weed, or any type slows down all autonomic nerve response times, including the reaction of the Ear/Brain Connection, to sound/noise.

The weed slows the reaction of the ear/brain, from protecting itself, thus letting more DBs in, which, causes more damage.

Its proven, Narcotics like Heroin, Fentanyl ect, cause damage to the small hairs, in the ear.

Rush Limbaugh went deaf, because of his Oxy habit, of 4000mg, of Oxy a day. Thats 50 x 80mg pills. Alcohol, does the same thing. Not counting slowing down the autonomic nervous systems self protection mechanisms against noises/any kind of sound, for that matter.

The first sign of my edibles kicking in is a change in the tone.. Kinda sucks but I got used to it..
I get tone changes only occasionally to a lower duller tone in my left ear but it always returns to the high pitch thats always present in my other ear. Sux but yea, learning to live with it. i do edibles (butter in my hot tea)daily as well. thanks

Thanks, kind of what i think I know already and most of us old rockers defiant know and ignore . Funny thing about the headphones, seems to be the only way I can get some relief is when i put the ear buds in and turn it up so the music is louder than all background noise . Dumb as shit i guess too, lol. Thankyou for your comments!

Worked in a factory setting for 14 yrs, plugs did nothing… also played in rock/metal band previous to that. My tinnitus is constant. Have not found any strain that combats it. But only sativas make it more noticeable. Does not bother my sleeping or day to day. Only time it bothers is when I’m awake and in complete silence.
