My set up:

1000w mh for veg and hps for flower-cool tube
4.5 x 4.5 x 8 plywood room in a 7.5x7.5 shed.
A/C
Decent 6" exhaust
Currently passive intake
Using HP mix for soil

My first grow;
Currently flowering 30 white widow clones

But want to try maybe 9 in the same space to lower plant count as per licence requirments and pain in the ass watering.

I have searched and searched but can't find information on proper training technique. My next batch of clones are rooted and I wana get them trained befor it,s to late.

I have 20 clones to choose from to get the best 9 Or if anyone has a better plant count? I'm open to suggestion I really need to maximize the yield to make enough medicic for my wife.

Why are you needing to train them? You have the height space. With 1000watts and nine full size plants, you'll have enough cannabis plus some.

Well that's the thing I don't know how long to veg them or if topping would increse the yield?
There's debate on topping making a big deference in yield. For big plants veg for 5-6 weeks. The rule of three is rather spot on with cannabis. When the light schedule is switched to 12/12 the plant will grow twice it's present size.

So if you switch to flower when the total height of the plant is 12". The plant will stretch another 24". With a finished height at around 30-35" tall. Another example, if the light is switched at 6" tall. The finished height will be in the 18-20" range.

For reference, a 35" tall plant indoors is a monster.
