Too hot for the seedlings?

Hi all.
I'm growing 5 white widow xtrm autofems from AMS. I live in a very hot and dry climate. temperatures reaching 40 celcius with around 16+ hours of sunlight a day. I'm growing outdoors.

Three of my autos are doing fine, the other 2 not so well. The first three had more airflow so perhaps temps were not so scorching for them.

Could excessive heat harm seedlings? I just popped them in their final pot and as soon as they showed their heads I moved them outside.

Is there any precautions I should take with growing autos this late into summer in such hot temps?

Thanks, any tips would be greatly appreciated.

try to give them some shade, and give them a lot of water. they grow all over the world, but some place are a lot more suitable than others.
i would have let them get around 6 inches high before i just threw them outside in conditions like that, and put some cheese cloth or something like that over them till they get used to it.
