total noob with a bunch of questions. led grow

Hey riu. So I got a cabinet 2 by 2 by 4 veg space and the same for flowering was using CFLs but just moved up to a 90w led for my veg space. First question do I need to vent for heat with the 90 w led? Its my first night using it and I'm getting ready to go out for the night just done want to fry them while I'm gone. Next for the flowering room I'm cooking to go with a 300w mars hydro led. And I was wondering about heat again? Also I got an idea about ventilation and stank control. So I'm running a pretty cheep 4 inch fan so I'm thinking run that threw duct work to a filter in a toate than pump with the another identical fan from the toate back into the grow area? Think that will work? For smell and Sufficient air movement

Yeah, you will get heat. Assuming the UFOs are about 25% efficient, (it's probably under 30%), you will get 75% of that 90W as heat.. So approximately 67.5W of heat from a 90W UFO. That's assuming they actually dissipate 90W of electricity.

Then the 25% of light that's created will hit the plant or tent wall and also generate heat.

Basically, you will have to deal with 90W of heat.

Instead of getting a mars hydro led, you should consider 400W hps, or look for quality LED builds, which will cost a lot more. I think HPS is a better stepping stone than cheap leds.

The Mars has a pretty good amount of people on this forum using it with good results. I'm trying to stay away from hps due to the long term cost of running it and I would end up really having to ventilate the heat with that. So any idea how much heat 90 w of heat is?

I think it ends up being 16 cubes of grow space.
