A little background information.

My name is Tr00thz and this is my first grow. As a complete rookie I would love constructive feedback. I have planned to start growing a few years back but finally started to get things in motion. I tried to do as much preemptive studying as I possibly could.

Currently I am dealing with some pretty low humidity levels, sometimes getting as low as 15. Plan on shopping around for a humidifier in the coming days. I was starting to get some leaf curl action from the new growths and was developing what looked like a MG def. Currently I've gotten the humidity up to 30. Misted the flowers with water and a 1/4 teaspoon of epson salt the past couple days and the effected plant have livened up a good amount.

Anyway, I'll post a few pictures of what we got to this point and then feel free to subscribe and follow me for the ride. The 3 plants remaining are all AK-48's. I started with 8 plants. 3 AK's and 5 Freebies from Nirvana. I ended up giving the freebies to a friend just a couple weeks ago but I will say they outgrew the AK's for the first 3 weeks and were growing into pretty little bushes. .

Spindly little fuckers, but impressive for CFL. You should look into COBs. 241w for the PPFD of a 600w HPS in a 4.5x4.5 using 3 emitters.

I have a couple different COB/LED lights that I have on my Amazon watch list. It seems like LED is the way of the future.

Only go with Cree CXB3590s, Vero29C Seventh Gens, or Citizen 1212s or 1818s. I don't think they have those on Amazon.

Well a few days have passed. I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving.

Anyway, I went to work this morning without peeking at the three ladies and when I walked into the room I had some serious eye-shock. They noticeably grew a lot in just a day and a 1/2.

I figured out why my humidity was getting so low. Now I feel an absolute idiot. I had a window open in the room and the temps have been getting pretty nippy. So the cold air mixed with the warm air created lower humidity levels

Also the plant that was experience some serious curl action has started to liven up. Part of me thinks it was a trio factor between my PH being a touch too high (6.3-6.5), The Humidity and a lack of MG in their diet. I could be wrong, but by adding 1/4 a teaspoon of MG to the nute mix seemed to work wonders.

Anyway. The Babies!!!

A couples days into 12/12 and they're reacting well. For a first time grower this whole experience so far has been fascinating.

You're doing a great job for a first grow!! I'll be following along! My AK48s are in my journal and are 3 weeks ahead of yours....mine ended up doubling in size during the first three weeks of flower.

Hope your pooch doesn't steal your pot. I just found part of a king sized joint my cats nabbed off my bedside table. Goddamned fiends. They are always getting into my smoke.

I'll scope it out. I wasn't too happy with the strain choice after doing some research but now that they're growing I'm more than pumped. Have yours started to bud yet?

He's definitely licked up some ground up goodies from the coffee table a couple times. So far in the room he tends to just bask underneath the light and waits for me to finish whatever I'm doing in there. I do keep an eye on him though because I know he loves it.

Oh yes, they've started budding nicely and we are starting to see trichomes. You have a few exciting weeks ahead!

Have you rubbed the stems to get a sense of the smell yet. Sweet and tangy...reminds me of key limes. I've been very pleased with how fast these girls grow. I have high hopes for this strain.

We're still going strong. The holidays screwed me up with getting pictures uploaded. But within a couple days I'll have an update.

So by my calculations I've got one more feeding and then the flush starts. I figured 11 weeks on a supposed 48 day strain should work.

I'm planning the next grow. I monster cropped a few clones, hopefully a few root. If not I've got another AK48 seed that I plan on nurturing much better this time around.

I feel like I didn't have too many issues but I definitely addressed a Ph problem at one point and an underwatering issue half way through when they started to guzzle nutes.

I also found out 8 weeks in that my timer has been set wrong. 130a they turn off and 2p they turned on. Noob mistake for sure.

Overall I'm super stoked with my first grow wrapping up. I apologize for the lack of documentation throughout. I underestimated the process. It probably doesn't help that I have a shit phone camera.

Anyway. I'll probably post some pics on chop day. Then again later with the yeild.
I'm not expecting much. But I'm just ready to eliminate the middle man.
