I used two buckets and transferred the plant between the buckets so I could drain all the access dirt and pebbles off the roots. Didnt get all the dirt but I feel that I would have had to kill the plant to get all the dirt off.

It looks good, but I put most of the root clump is near the surface...Should I take all the hydroton clay pellets out and reset the roots or could this potentially kill the plant since I just sat near the sink ruffing its roots to get dirt off?

I was gentle Im just wondering how much stress it can take.

plant is probably a few weeks old and had a reasonably big root system...

to restate i went from soil to a bucket with a air pump and feeder.

The net/ cup thing is fillled with hydroton clay pellets but I accidentally put most of the roots near the surface of the pelllets. when it gets bigger, will these roots try to get bigger and stunt growth???

It is fine. Raze the water level to just over the bottom of the net pot (Around 1") and give it a few days. once roots are growing out of the net pot and into the water lower the level.

Good luck.
