Trimming foliage leaves?

I have heard mixed reviews about cutting the foliage on your plants. Some say that by cutting the leaves it allows for more areas of growth..... But mainly I have heard that by cutting the leaves it causes the exact opposite. My basic understanding of a leaf is to catch light while having tiny pores that catch air and water so that the plant may experience photosynthesis (which is light energy converted into carbohydrates-sugar-through the chlorophyll in the chloroplasts).

:leaf:Basically my reason for this post is, I would like to know if anyone has tried either method or has any input on the subject. Any input is better than none, for I'm not 100 percent sure on the matter.:leaf:

Not suggested, week four in flowering I prune the bottoms , u can prune up them a ways. So that you remove all the shit a the bottom and underneath that doesn't get enough light. General rule want u prune off the bottom u gain at the TOP! Main Stock fan leaves ok to take off if shading lower buds or look crappy! Good luck & happy Growing:peace:

Fan leaves, no. If you want to take off some of the places that are lower on the plant where it gets less growth auxins/hormones(which is a big part of why bottom stuff tends to not amount to much , chloroplasts only absorb about 15% of the energy that interacts with them for photosynthesis and the rest keeps going on, leaves are not as solid as they look to us.) feel free, i usually do a little bit of it. I usually make clones with the branches i remove.
