Trimming Harvested Plants

Harvested one of my gals and have it hangin in the barn. Been hangin for two days. Trimmed off the large fantails. My question is about the final trimming. The buds appear to be made up of smaller leaves which get progressively smaller.....how much of these do you take off ? or do you leave them alone? So far I've taken all leaves with a noticable branch/stem? Sorry for such a dumb question. First time workin with a real plant and my buds are on the small side.

I just cut everything flush with the bud. I leave a little extra for weight but not much. Its usually easiest to trim right when you cut the plant down. Once it starts drying its a little more difficult to trim.

After removing as many full-sized leaves as I can, I try just brushing off the little leaf tips that extend out of the buds with a fingertip. If I start in on the buds with a scissors, I tend to get a little overzealous. :)
