Trump is the iceberg, the Democratic party is the Titanic, and progressives are the lifeboat

my post you are responding to was not all i wanted it to be. i don't know what you disagree with.
the time to make changes is way before rock bottom or it's trap doors.
Not sure how to respond? Not sure what part of your post you are unhappy with? I disagree with the statement that people won't vote progressive. I think they will. But those are opinions on both our parts.
As far as rock bottom........................If not there now, when?

You should read that study, you might actually benefit from it

The 'Duct tape' thing you're fruitlessly trying to make stick is the exact same kind of tactics the Clinton campaign attempted to use against Trump instead of populist economic policy rhetoric that we actually know works

You don't win because you don't appeal to voters, just like the duct tape thing fails to land.. People aren't interested in personal attacks because it doesn't do anything for them. You can call Trump the devil till you're blue in the face, it won't change anything other than the number in your bank account trying to get that message out.
I wish the duct tape thing would stop. "I am tired of hearing about duct tape" - Bernie Sanders.

AGAIN no mention of the tea party. Go ahead and say whatever you want, But don't claim I said something that I didn't.
Please quote where I said anything about the tea party?
Post #80. Hit arrow on top of quote. Read context around quote that you cut from larger post.

I was clearly referring to teaparty. Clearly.

Okay. I think I see where we are at. Yes you were clearly referring to the tea party. What I quoted was a statement about right wing, which I was trying to reference. I see them as two different things. Which is why I snipped that one piece.
But no matter, You are correct. I got stuck on the words myself, which is what I was bitching about. Ironic isn't it, lol.
So, You are right, I am wrong. Humble pie is mine to eat. Less often than it used to be so that 's progress right?
30 days in the whole it is....................

Very fitting!

Edited to take out top.

Also, the very top part I meant to delete before posting. The snarky bit. That was my initial response until I sat down and went through the thread several times to figure out what your meant. I edited it to reflect what my intended post was.
When I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

So a minority of populous states lean left.
States aren't people. They can't lean. They just sit there. A majority of people in the US voted for Clinton. Doesn't mean they lean left. Just means that Trump was to the right of them.

Why should the President be elected by electoral college which give voters in smaller populated states an outsized voice. They have the Senate. Shouldn't the President of the United States be elected by all the people of the United States?

This bill is now in debate in Oregon:

http://www.opb.org/news/series/election-2016/electoral-college-oregon-trump-president-clinton/

Will Oregon Join States Trying To Change Presidential Election System?

National Popular Vote, a group seeking a new election system, launched in 2006. It has persuaded 11 states and the District of Columbia to pass legislation agreeing to reward their 165 electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote.

If they can sign up states with 105 more EC votes to break the 270 vote barrier, then it doesn't matter any more who won in small states. With more than 270 EC votes bound to vote for the majority winner, the majority choice will be prez. I'll call my state representatives to let them know I support this measure. Maybe others can do so.

Let the Senate be the voice of small states as was intended. Let the president be the leader of the people of the united states, not just states with out sized influence in the EC.

"voters in small states an outsized voice".

Like Wyoming, which per capita is way more productive than California?

So you don't agree our congressional structure of two houses is the best compromise of being represented equally and by populous. Furthermore, if you research your own position a little more you will realize that you don't believe in a local state boundary at all, just one large all encompassing state.

The 17th amendment kinda took the power from small states already.

that has nothing to do with the electoral college favoring mostly red states, but any state that managed to land on top of so many natural resources would be more productive.

dipshit.

States went red because of the states popular votes, and you like popular votes......

less populous states with disproportionate power due to compromises for red state slavery went red. more populous states with weakened power due to compromises for red state slavery went blue.

in the end, the anti-slavery blue territories with more votes chose hillary over the slavery red states. but the slavery red states have special rights because slaves.

hence why we now have to worry about jeff sessions busting our grows.

i doubt you have a grow, you have never shared a thing about growing, although you have spoken out for neo-nazism and white supremacy all too often.

Credit where credit is due. Lets thank China for being so thirsty.

For the two decades that followed the passage of the 1976 act, the DOE managed the Reserves and “the properties served valuable functions not only as a source of revenue for the U.S. Treasury but also as a model for improved oil field practices.”3 In 1996, however, Congress determined that the Reserves “no longer served the national defense purpose envisioned in the early 1900s,” and authorized steps toward the potential divestment or privatization of the Reserves.
