His stench of betrayal, failure and narrow greed permeates the atmosphere. Trump's beat down is in the air.
The reckoning upon us follows a year mercifully drawing to a close this weekend. Over that horrid year, President Trump has questioned the legitimacy of federal judges, used Stalinist barbs to attack the free press and cast contempt on the rule of law, while his campaign manager, his national security adviser and a foreign policy aide have been marched into federal courts. Those anti-democratic instincts were made all the more ominous by his praising of autocrats across the world as they were ruthlessly consolidating power in countries such as Russia, China and the Philippines.
It is difficult to pinpoint the nadir for a man who has savaged Mexicans, Muslims and Gold Star mothers while fat-shaming beauty queens and face-shaming female news hosts (disclosure: in the latter example, my own fiancee ). But the low moment in this presidency may have occurred four months ago, when Trump claimed a moral equivalency between neo-Nazis and those standing against them. Or perhaps it was three weeks ago, when the president told Americans to vote for an accused child molester who had called our country the focus of evil in the modern world and once suggested opposition to the constitutional amendments that ended slavery and gave women the right to vote.

Others would surely consider the president’s malignant idiocy in foreign affairs to be the most damning legacy of his first year. World leaders continue to watch dumbstruck as the United States retreats from organizations that were created following the allies’ victory over Hitler. Those same alliances that Trump now undermines with reckless tweets and discarded treaties carried the United States to victory in the Cold War. But this is a White House that heaps contempt on history. And so, America’s dangerous retreat from the world continues
.

Angry voters can be high-information voters

Simply put, 2018 is on track to be the “Year of the Angry White College Graduate.” I’d estimate the college-educated share of the electorate will be around 43 or 44 percent next year, up from 39 percent in 2016. That’s dreadful news for Republicans: These voters have indicated the highest intensity of opposition to Trump in polls, and we’ve already seen them power Democrats to victory in Virginia and Alabama.

These voters are more riled up than at any point in recent memory. “Some of the most worrisome signs for Republicans have been the stark turnout differentials between red and blue precincts,” Wasserman warns. “In Virginia’s gubernatorial election, turnout was up 20 percent over 2013 in blue localities versus 13 percent in red localities. And in the six special congressional elections held in 2017, Democrats have averaged 71 percent of Clinton’s 2016 votes, while GOP candidates averaged just 55 percent of Trump’s 2016 performance.”

Those angry about President Trump and his assault on our values and democratic institutions might actually relish a meaty, important conversation that treats them like adults. They are fired up, but they are fired up about particular things— fiscal irresponsibility, incompetent government (with Congress rubber-stamping ideologically extreme and utterly unqualified people to powerful posts), the GOP’s harboring men credibly accused of a pattern of sexual assault (both Roy Moore and Trump), Trump’s international bellicosity (too often egged on by those in Congress, as with “decertifying” the Iran deal without a coherent next step), Trump’s attacks on the press and courts and the Trump family’s self-enrichment, to name just a few items. We’ve suggested Stop The Abusers is a fitting theme to attract voters distressed at the Trump administration’s abuse of power (and inability to address Trump’s alleged abuse of women).

You are not hearing arguments from Americans that don't care. I help out when I can, including homeless, starving, pets too. Your hearing arguments from the people that want the system to remain fair. Anyone in this country can do what I did to be able to support myself. The problem is, you do have to commit and do it.

Also, in this country taxes increase as your income increases for most citizens. It can also be taxed differently depending on how you earned it. So exactly how would that first 15k not be taxed for most taxpayers?
* you`re

Have you seen the letter of exoneration?

Stop The Abusers is a nice theme, but I think we should use Drain The Swamp.

so andrew mccabe, who has worked at the FBI for over 20 years
just resigned
why?
because he had to admit, under oath, that they could not get wiretaps on trump campaign without the "russian dossier"
even though they knew the russian dossier was never actually verified

has anyone on this website ever encountered a "crooked cop"?

This is just a tactic to get Meuller fired. Wait till his evidence gets brought to the American public, then we will see who gets forked. If Trump had nothing to worry about he spends alot of time trying to shut down this investigation. If you think Trump is honest and all the Intelligence agencies are all "crooked" . Please put the pipe down ...You have no brain cells left.

You have been bought and sold by the media. maybe its time to put down the pipe and get some fresh air.
