Tulips Anyone?

well here is my tulips it's just an experiment so out of 10 bulbs i bought last year around november 8 sprouted and now 2 bloom right on easter morning so Happy!!!!i I cut 2 that r bloomed and put it in a glass until i can get a more proper vase for them hahahhaha!!!!DSC01093.jpg

thats beautiful! mine are just poking out of the ground. i have had them for about 5 years and they come up every spring

i have irises that come up every spring they are white and in full bloom right now.. heres one from last year....they were here with house when we got it but they come up prettier every year...i should do tulips sometime..

Thanks!!!and how do you that keep it in the ground or what? this is my first time so any tips...would love to have it every year...

i live in new england and it gets pretty cold in winter but i've never taken them out of the ground and they come up every year some people i know take the bulbs out in october and refrigerate them until spring and replant.

i just leave them and they come back

Oh mokety. They are beautiful. I love tulips and daffodils but the chipmunks and squirrels seem to think it is breakfast buffet around here.:?
Yes you leave them in the ground. To conserve the energy of the tulip you let the plant go dormant after it flowers and then in the beginning of summer you are supposed to just tie the stems and they will eventually die down to the ground but just don't cut the stems off right away or it may not have enough energy to replenish itself.

Me too. I have all kinds of irises around here. They are one of my favourite bulb flowering plants.
I also have wild irises that I scooped from the forest.
We should share sime gardening pics once spring starts.......
