I'm not arguing he's not better than a Republican. I'm arguing if we run a progressive Democrat, he will beat Manchin in the Democratic primary and he will beat the Republican in the election. He just has to have party support behind him and that's the problem, the Democratic party doesn't want to support these kinds of Democrats that threaten their current system, that's why they don't put support behind them. We just witnessed exactly that in Kansas with James Thompson. Actual progressive candidates are breaking records across the country in traditionally deep red districts without the help of the DNC or the Democratic party. What would happen if they had their help?
If you think the general election was "rigged", then so was the Democratic primary, because there wouldn't have been anything for Russia* or Wikileaks* to leak to get Democrats to stay home if the DNC and the Clinton campaign didn't do anything wrong behind the scenes.
