Turkish Cookies- Greenthumb Seeds

Also, a more technical question based off the first pic of the day 65 photos.
If you cut off those smaller site at the bottom, and had the 4 main colas thicken up (just in theory; i actually have no clue as to how this strain responds to topping, or if its easy to clone, or even leaf to calyx ratio- please comment!) would this indica be ideal if i wanted a uniform plane of main colas if i had 4 of these babies rolling? just main colas, and no pop corn bud sites. or is she better off being left alone with one main cola.

The smaller sites look like they yield a decent amount too, thats why im asking if you're better off leaving them alone.
I just hate trimming, so its always a bonus when you get a strain with a good leaf to calyx ratio, then i just aim to get my main colas (usually top them for 4 main ones) nice and neat and tidy and let them fatten themselves up and the weeks go on. i try to trim them 2weeks before i flower, but you know how some strains take a bit longer to recover than other?
i've been told it has to do with the plant vigour and genetics, sometimes you get a strong plant that grows like a monster and has high tolerance for mistakes. (if i find one that strong i'll let you guys know haha) but thats another big reason i went through of getting a money order and envelope to buy dr GT seeds. i really want to experience 'strong' and 'good' genetics.
I've been through thousands of dollars in just seeds alone, and now that i consider myself a seasoned strain connoisseur, i'll be able to appreciate the subtle difference his strains and if they truly are worthy of the 'world class' title.
I've been through :
Barney's - their blue cheese was very easy to grow no problems, smelled very fruity and sweet several phenos to find
BC Bud Depot- GSC was frosty and fairly easy to grow. i found her very forgiving, found a very frosty cookie dough taste pheno, ran her a couple of times
Rare Dankness- GTH #1 running one right now, shes def a slow grower but we'll see (this is one of the other hype strains i've been messing around with

Sannies killing fields was by far my most impressive strain i've ever TOUCHED hands down. so i'll be comparing dr gt to sannies in terms of 'world class' genetics. the list goes on but i have high hopes of dr GT as well.
i just hope his line of genetics blow GHS out of the water like some people say haha
I mean i never had a problem with GHS cheese and t heir bubba kush. dr gt insist their bubba isn't the 'real' bubba but he never said anything poor about it either other than it not being authentic. nevertheless i was impressed with both strains. cheese was a monster yielder and VERY forgiving plant to work with. their bubba by far was the 'kushiest' smelling strain i've ever grown. thats why im so fond on bubba kush. their version of bubba was most definitely the densest strain i've ever grown, just wasnt huge yielding, but i know if i gave it 2months worth of veg time, that'd be a world of possibilities waiting.

I think OMS would be able to better answer this question but here's my take.....

I don't think these are made for a just let it go on it's own dominant cola style grow, and topping for 4 main colas (2nd node) would probably not be a good idea either. They seemed to really like being topped just above the 4th node so as to have lots of smaller buds as compared to the 4 larger dom colas.

I was very surprised about the yield from these plants. I kept them small and they produced better then any other plant of the same size Ive grown.
I'm obviously very impressed with these......only wish i would have popped a couple more seeds.

also, because this is a very new strain (spoke with the doc, it's only been out for like 6months) i can't wait to see the potential behind this strain.
Dr Gruber, you did a PHENOMENAL job with turkish cookies, so cheers to you! how do you think this heavy indica will fair in dwc?? ooo i cant wait!

Oh and hey Dr Gruber, been meaning to ask you this..
You see how plant 1 has denser buds and plant 2 has more trich production? i'll race ya to find the 3rd pheno that has both dense nugs and that trich production your 2nd plant had :P

Dr Gruber's personal preference- 65 days

Grow Comments-
As usual I kept it very simple and they were a breeze to grow. Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy. I can't think of a single issue I had with these. Just keep it simple and consistent and they rock.
Some of the densest buds I've ever grown. For such small plants they sure produce a lot.
I can see the influence of both parent plants on these and together they outshine them in many ways.
Beautiful plant!

Smell-
Hash
Petroleum
Bitter Grapefruit

Associated smells of bud:
fuel.

TASTE-
Hash

Associated flavors:
Bitter Grapefruit (mild)
Black Pepper (mild)
Fuel

Flavor Intensity-(Sour Diesel or Bubba Kush would be a 9 or 10.)
9

Harsh/smoothness: (1-10, 1 being extremely harsh and 10 being extremely smooth) --
7-
Expansive, heavy, thick smoke.

Cough factor? : Yes/no ---
Yes, yes, yes!
Not harsh but packs a wallop.

Flavor Comments-
Strong turkish hash flavor with a hint of the bitter taste associated with grapefruit. Not a citrus/fruity flavor.
There is also a hint of the black pepper taste I associate with the GSC. It didn't get the coffee or mint GSC flavor but you can still taste the influence. I have very little doubt those flavors will be found in the remaining seeds from this pack.
It's in the same ballpark as OG Kush or GSC, etc, which is very good. The only thing that will make this taste better to me is if i can get one with the coffee type flavor.

BUZZ Profile—Perhaps the heaviest hitting indica I've tried besides Doc's OH Zone but much better tasting. For the first 30-60 minutes, it takes away the aches, pains, and tiredness of a long day and gives you a little spark to get your evening underway.
But, soon after, you wont want to get off the couch and if you don't keep your mind active, you might even snooze a bit. I found it extremely hard to get through a full joint or bowl with two veteran smokers. We just had to put it out and give it a rest every time.
I would call this one a definite couch lock type buzz.

Potency: (1-10, 1 being extremely weak and 10 being extremely potent)
9.7+

Duration: (length of buzz, from first hit)
4- hours

Overall Plant Rating-
(yield+taste+potency+etc)

9.9

Closest to a 10 I've ever grown.

Great Yield! Great Taste! Superb Potency!

Munchies: Yes/no----
Yes….big time.

Final Comment-
Being more of a sativa hybrid kind of guy when it comes to recreational smoke, this is not a personal favorite in that department. But, for my medical needs, this one is at the absolute top of the list.
For what it is, it is the closest plant to a perfect "10" that I have ever grown, and it will be hard to beat. The commercial appeal alone is off the charts. Rock hard buds covered in ridiculous amounts of frost, superb potency and flavor. What more can you ask? A patient commented that it had the most keef he has sever seen. When you grind up a bud there is a layer of frost at the bottom of the pile that is astounding. I've seen plenty of buds do that but not quite like this one.
In my opinion, as a medical plant, this should be spread far and wide. Hopefully, I will be able to help do that.
A very special plant indeed!

*EDIT-The lab report shows a very small amount of mold in one of the samples. This is a constant battle that I thought I had won and should serve as a warning to everyone out there. Before lab testing I had no idea my buds had even the slightest amount of mold. I could not taste, smell, or see, any trace of it. Interesting.

Medical qualities:

Pain-pain -pain

Sleep aid
