SMOKE REPORT—
Turkish Cookies

Final Weight---

Plant 1- 6.08
Plant 2- 5.49

INFO-
Tester Name:
Dr Gruber and patients.

Strain:
Turkish Cookies
(Turkish Delight X GSC )

Breeder:
Dr Greenthumb

Grower:
Dr Gruber

Method Smoked:
Joints-Glass Pipes.
(Dr Gruber’s Personal Favorite-Joints)

Soil/Hydro:
Promix Potting Soil-(Drain to Waste)

Flower Time: 60 -70 days

Dr Gruber's personal preference- 65 days

Grow Comments-
As usual I kept it very simple and they were a breeze to grow. Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy. I can't think of a single issue I had with these. Just keep it simple and consistent and they rock.
Some of the densest buds I've ever grown. For such small plants they sure produce a lot.
I can see the influence of both parent plants on these and together they outshine them in many ways.
Beautiful plant!

Smell-
Hash
Petroleum
Bitter Grapefruit

Associated smells of bud:
fuel.

TASTE-
Hash

Associated flavors:
Bitter Grapefruit (mild)
Black Pepper (mild)
Fuel

Flavor Intensity-(Sour Diesel or Bubba Kush would be a 9 or 10.)
9

Harsh/smoothness: (1-10, 1 being extremely harsh and 10 being extremely smooth) --
7-
Expansive, heavy, thick smoke.

Cough factor? : Yes/no ---
Yes, yes, yes!
Not harsh but packs a wallop.

Flavor Comments-
Strong turkish hash flavor with a hint of the bitter taste associated with grapefruit. Not a citrus/fruity flavor.
There is also a hint of the black pepper taste I associate with the GSC. It didn't get the coffee or mint GSC flavor but you can still taste the influence. I have very little doubt those flavors will be found in the remaining seeds from this pack.
It's in the same ballpark as OG Kush or GSC, etc, which is very good. The only thing that will make this taste better to me is if i can get one with the coffee type flavor.

BUZZ Profile—Perhaps the heaviest hitting indica I've tried besides Doc's OH Zone but much better tasting. For the first 30-60 minutes, it takes away the aches, pains, and tiredness of a long day and gives you a little spark to get your evening underway.
But, soon after, you wont want to get off the couch and if you don't keep your mind active, you might even snooze a bit. I found it extremely hard to get through a full joint or bowl with two veteran smokers. We just had to put it out and give it a rest every time.
I would call this one a definite couch lock type buzz.

Potency: (1-10, 1 being extremely weak and 10 being extremely potent)
9.7+

Duration: (length of buzz, from first hit)
4- hours

Overall Plant Rating-
(yield+taste+potency+etc)

9.9

Closest to a 10 I've ever grown.

Great Yield! Great Taste! Superb Potency!

Munchies: Yes/no----
Yes….big time.

Final Comment-
Being more of a sativa hybrid kind of guy when it comes to recreational smoke, this is not a personal favorite in that department. But, for my medical needs, this one is at the absolute top of the list.
For what it is, it is the closest plant to a perfect "10" that I have ever grown, and it will be hard to beat. The commercial appeal alone is off the charts. Rock hard buds covered in ridiculous amounts of frost, superb potency and flavor. What more can you ask? A patient commented that it had the most keef he has sever seen. When you grind up a bud there is a layer of frost at the bottom of the pile that is astounding. I've seen plenty of buds do that but not quite like this one.
In my opinion, as a medical plant, this should be spread far and wide. Hopefully, I will be able to help do that.
A very special plant indeed!

*EDIT-The lab report shows a very small amount of mold in one of the samples. This is a constant battle that I thought I had won and should serve as a warning to everyone out there. Before lab testing I had no idea my buds had even the slightest amount of mold. I could not taste, smell, or see, any trace of it. Interesting.

Medical qualities:

Pain-pain -pain

Sleep aid

Appetite

well you sir sold me on turkish cookies. im so curious to see how she does in DWC. i'l keep you guys updated!
dwc will make turkish cookies a beautiful thing..i do hydro tubs..i went back to swc [shallow water cutlure]
not quite the yield of dwc but way less liquids to mess with..

dr grube..i had a feeling about this one..having grown doc's turkish delight and gsc before..

imho the td bestowed "from origin hash plant" magic to an already proven performer

great photo's ..you rock !

we grew it outdoors last summer...it took until almost october way up here but it finished really well..
wish we had put out more..no mould ..dense hashy colas..very good yield
the fact that it was not a real compact indica helped with keeping it mould free.
will grow it again next season

Hey OMS,
When you say compact, do you mean that in the sense 'not a bushy plant'? She spreads out nicely, yea?

How do you guys feel about trimming fan leaves before harvest??
if i haven't taken them off long before then yeh..i am of the
"you don't need them as much as you need areas for light to get at the buds" denomination of the canna religion
unless i get lazy and don't do it early in flower..in which case..if i am not lazy by harvest then they are so gone..

some like to do it some don't ...i do..

and i made a mistake..i have grown..turkish delight outdoors not turkish cookies

Not that i noticed but i didn't really look.
You?
Too soon to tell. Only one out of four have really taken off. I received them on 11.21.2016 germinated 2 on the day of, and 2 the next day.

I got 4 for 4. 2 in promix bx, 2 in DWC. the one in DWC is the one that's really taken off. root structure starting to get hairy now. the 2 in promix have been transplanted already after roots starting showing out the bottom of my 2L pot.

please mind the baggie.
