sorry, been a lurker for a long time, still learning the rules.

I think OMS would be able to better answer this question but here's my take.....

I don't think these are made for a just let it go on it's own dominant cola style grow, and topping for 4 main colas (2nd node) would probably not be a good idea either. They seemed to really like being topped just above the 4th node so as to have lots of smaller buds as compared to the 4 larger dom colas.

I was very surprised about the yield from these plants. I kept them small and they produced better then any other plant of the same size Ive grown.
I'm obviously very impressed with these......only wish i would have popped a couple more seeds.
So would you recommend topping on these.

In DWC, would you guys trim the rootball after topping?

One of my TC's took off really well. I'm very impressed with her compared to the other 3. After I topped her, she's very tiny compared to the root mass down below. Was wondering if anyone here trims rootballs in DWC to make it more proportionate to the plant?? (My aim is to get get more multiple robust roots closer to the base of the plant.)

Sounds like another question for OMS.....

Update- Day 56

They both look so ridiculously good. If the taste matches the look and weight, this will be my showstopper.
Hey Doc,

Sorry for stalking your thread so much.. I'm just so in love with TC and how it's growing. I just can't wait to flower them.. I can already see 2 different phenos of the 4 plants. As to how they smell when they flower, I'll be sure to keep you posted.

I'm trying to find the pheno that's similar to yours, the denser bud plant of the 2. While it was vegging I noticed one of the plants was shorter, compact and bushier, while the other grew slightly taller and stretchier. Which plant do I want to take clones of for the denser producing plant? I'd rather clone them while in veg state rather than reveg a flowering cut.

I don't have the eye for that sort of thing as of yet and i would guess environmental differences could account for taller and shorter plants. I always take clones from each before flower and wait and see which comes out the best. I suppose you could look through all my pictures and try to figure it out. Sorry again.

Im taking down my turkish cookies now, I think its my 4th run on my same pheno I hunted down..I love my pheno, the buds are so dense and heavy, mildew resistant.. I was going through more phenos but I got hit with microscopic mites for the new year...

Unfortunatly I recently got put off with gg #4, out of 11 seeds I recently purchased I only have one plant out of the 11 seeds....

do you run any other additives ?
No, but i switched just after this grow to the JAcks Hydro nutrients.
Part A - (5-12-26)
Part B- (Cal Nitrate 15-0-0)
Part C- Epsom salts.

For freshly rooted clones they have Jacks Cloner - (15-6-17)
And, in the last coupe weeks you add the Finisher -(7-15-30)

My plants look better. Less root tip burn and nice flat, cool leaves.
