true grandaddy purple is a clone only strain found mostly in cali:joint:
clone only strains only have XX, not XY, hence no males ...

sometimes they can become an XXy, but still the offspring are XX..

gdp clone is a only strain found in north and south cal and sometimes in colorado.. your seeds were bogus

I'd check with where you got them, I promise no lie. I'll bet my life on it, GDP is a clone only strain. I mean google it, type granddaddy purp clone only strain.. Or look for GDP seeds through seedbanks, your not gonna find GDP.. sorry.. :( Dispensary I got my clones from show you the mom, and the finished bud from other clones they've flowered from that mom and give you extensive information on the plant before you purchase them like yield, flower time, etc.. Good dispensaries are hard to come by..

from what I have heard of GDP it is a highly desired strain. finding a way to recreate a stable seed for this strain or one that is so close is doesn't matter would be a good thing, just my opinion though

a lot of breeders make clone only strains for the reason its not mass produced like the overrated white widow.. I'd hate pay money for a hermie seed of GDP, or 15 of them, thats fucked up. She should have known something was up, reputable seed banks keep they're seeds packaged and labeled. If she bought seeds like in a vial from a local "breeder", fuck that, sketchy... Lesson hopefully learned.

Actually, I didn't buy the GDP seeds, they came free (15 in a vile) with my purchase of a vile Big Blue seeds. I thought that was weird but I had no idea that the GDP genetic line was spent. That sucks...I wonder/hope if maybe it was a cross with some other purple gene plant...

I don't know but I'm going to call them and ask later today...

So I called the dispensary and talked to them for a while about what kind of GDP seeds I got and they said the GDP's were all regular 4th generation Grand Daddy Purple's from Mendocino county. I tried to get more info out of them regarding if there was any other different genetic material in the GDP seeds but they didn't know...and now I'm a little less confused but not by much...
