UK - Cold at intake - limits ?

Hi everyone

I live in the UK and as it's minus -5 outside, by the time my intake gets the air into my tent the temperature of it is 6 degrees. The steady overall temperature of the space is 24 - 25 degree with the lights on top.

I suppose aside from fan speed controllers (it's already on a variac) or allowing my air conditioning unit to cool the room the tent is in instead (more control over temperatures) and just using a passive intake - is there anything that I could be doing here I am not already doing ?

The concern is that 6 degrees (42.8f for our American counterparts) is too cold for the girls; even though it's getting mixed up by the fans you can see.

Thanks in advance

K

I got 20 american degrees coming in. I aim it at the ceiling or bulbs. no problems other than slowing the fan down so it dont get to cold.

I live in canada. Temps will soon be dropping to -20c. I bring in outside air straight into my tent, above the lights (2×1000w hid) where it has a chance to warm before dropping on the girls.

However, there is a trick to this. My intake port at the window is directly below my exhaust port by about 10 cms. They operate simtaneously on the same timer... so... whats happens is the warm air being exhausted mixes a bit with the cold air being sucked in. That warmed air is just enough to prevent against condensation. Works perfect. And thats at -20c.

So... at -5c... you could bring that straight in above the lights and youd be fine without pre-warming it...
