Hello everyone. Newb here with a funny story. I was wondering if this has ever happened to anybody else? I had what i thought was a bad seed. 3 days after srpouting it looked horrible compated to my others. I pulled it up and i found two fully opened leaves under the surface and i realized the horrible looking plant was actually a root. Ha! Has anybody else ever had their plans try to grow upside down?

yeah, once, the root came right out of the ground, straight as an arrow, about half an inch maybe more. I thought it had decapitated itself some how. I dug it up and then discovered it upside down so I replanted right side up. The tap root had been in open air so long the growth tip died but it eventually grew side roots of it and survived. This was a $10 seed otherwise I would have just thrown it out.

Many seeds not only use gravity but also light to orientate themselves.
Some seeds like lettuce are down right hard to germinate without light...
