Hello this is my 4rth grow first time hydro.
So this is my 5th week in and out of nowhere my grow has gone to shit.

IMG_2559.JPG IMG_2574.JPG
I don't know what has happened. I changed the res like Do every week and the next day plants stopped growing, started looking very sad and roots are turning yellow. This is being posted on the third day since res change. I looked at the rockwool and found white powder on it. Looked like salt build up so I removed it and made the pods a little more light proof. I than changed the res again with water let out for 12 hours no nutes and ph down to 5.8. Still no improvement since yesterday.
Ph: 5.8
Temp:75
Rh: 35-45
All the help needed. I was a couple weeks away from flower and really don't want these baby's to die. Thanks everyone.

What is your water temp? What are you running for an air pump? Anything else aside, my first inclination is that your rez temp is too high and not enough air being bubbled.

ok i have added another bubbler and the temp is 68-70. The plants are starting to turn yellow bottom up and also the yellowing leaves have brown spots on them. I have added 1 ml of a and b formula into 10 liters of water just to get them back up and running.
is there any way to turn the roots back to white again or should i just stop breaking my head.

Are you running a sterile rez, or using beneficials?

There are 2 schools of hydro. 1 being sterile. Using products like h2o2 or chlorine to anhilate anything that may try to live in your rez. 2, using beneficial microorganisms to aid in feeding your plant but also combating harmful ones. In my opinion, 2 is easier to achieve and has more benefits. Things like mykos wp, recharge, and slf-100 would all be great additions to your regimine but you cant be using chlorinated water or any products used to kill micros.

Thanks for the information!
Does this include liquid seaweed extract? I have put in a few mls today after changing the res phing down to 5.55 also, the water i use has always been sitting in a pot fro 3-5 days prior use. I was told this allows chlorine to evaporate. I am starting to see new root growth from all three plants but, the old brown stained roots still make up the majority of them. I was thinking of cutting a few at a time each day to not shock the plants to much. would this help and promote faster root growth when the infected roots are gone? thanks very much!

Looks like his rez is made of styrofoam?

Light proof that thing, you'll probably run into issues if the plant gets any bigger as the weight could crack those lids.

when you flush your rez you should rinse and sterilize, I'd also sterilize air lines and air stones, or just buy fresh ones. Light proof the entire thing, use panda film or something of the sort. I wouldn't suggest using spray paints on Styrofoam.

Not styrofoam. If it was, it would be light proof mostly. If using beneficial bacteria, light cleaning. No need to sterilize. Youre trying to build an army that will feed the plant and fight off nay sayers.

Direct from the site those are veg only nutes your gonna need a another 2 part for flower

Optimum hydroponix Grow is a 2-part (A&B) nutrient formula developed to work together to create a complete plant food. Follow the blending directions listed below carefully.

Blend recommended for vigorous growth of plants that flower and/or bear fruit:
1) Add 20 ml of part B into 10 litres of water.
2) Then add 20 ml of part A.
3) Adjust the pH to 5.8.
4) You now have 10 litres of Optimum solution ready for use. Note: When plants are ready for the flowering stage, switch to Optimum A&B Flowering formula nutrient.

Blend recommended for the growth stage of non-flowering leafy green plants. Follow the blending directions above using only 10 ml of Part B and 10 ml of Part A per 10 litres of water.

Foliar Feeding Blend: Follow the blending directions above using only 8 ml of Part B and 8 ml of Part A per 10 litres of water.

The container is hard thick plastic. the roots seems to be growing new white ones, do you know what i can do to reverse the yellowing and make them all white again?
