Use Humic Acid & Kelp @ 5:2 Ratio both work 50% better than alone!

A Virginian Tech study on Biostimulants shows that using Humic acid and Kelp at a 5:2 ratio work 50% more effectively than either product alone!

The humic acids are good food for microbes that come from the kelp.
You can get the microbes from other sources though

And that's why I use GO Diamond Black and GO Bioweed as well as GO Biomarine... My little lady loves it!

I use powdered humics and compost teas. Highest quality I found, and also one of the cheapest.

I love the local brewed worm tea... Well... My plant does lol

Soluble Humic Acid and Kelp are the only way to go. The concentrations are higher and you mix it fresh without worrying about how long it has been sitting on a shelf degrading before you got to it... Liquid humic and kelp is a total ripoff!

I would like to add that Kelp can have a detrimental effect if used excessively. Don't go over the recommended amounts.

Yekke makes a good point, kelp is very powerful and is loaded with hormones. This is why it works great as a foliar spray during veg... but not during flower.

If anyone is foliar spraying kelp during veg use fulvic acid in conjunction. Fulvic is a chelator and a smaller particle than humic acid which helps it penatrate and be taken in by the leaves.

In turn humic acid is one of the chelators in the soil, creating nutrient availability.

As you all can tell... "I love Biostimulants!"

Hey, does anyone have a link for the actual research or conclusion by "Virginian Tech" .. since all I see is people buzzing about this research, and links provided leads to more buzz but never to an actual conclusion by the researchers at "Virginian Tech" ..

I don't doubt the buzz, but I'm just surprised that no one seems to have an actual valid source for this information.

Yes like I said... Does anyone have the link to the "actual study" which is referred to. I have no doubt about the results of applying the ratio. But it seems everyone is just linking to someone else who is referring to the "virginia tech study" but no one has ever read the actual "virginia tech study" it seems, so I was starting to doubt that it ever existed.

Often companies pay Universities to do efficacy studies for them. This may be one of those cases... the data is available but actual case study may not be...?

Perhaps look at the references? It's a .edu site, more believable/credible than any .com, .org, etc..

Fulvic Acid is a kind of Humic Acid. They both contribute to chelating nutrients among other things. Fulvic is a smaller particle and helps plants uptake nutrients especially in a foliar spray.

Amino Acids are a different category and contribute to other functions but they can also be chelators especially for calcium. Very important!

One problem is BioAg is the percentage of active ingredients, dont wast your money on water! I buy soluble powder and the percentages of active are far greater and I mix it fresh!!

Ful Humix IS a powder AND is a better quality sourced product then 99% of other like products available!

Over using Humic's can cause leaf "whorling" and look like it's "re-vegging"....
