Uses of Super Plant Tonic

hey OhSo,

I noticed your feed schedule does not take into account SPT, which makes nutes for effective. Should I follow your schedule at 1/2 strength since I plan on using SPT? And how often should I use nutes and SPT? I plan on using 1/2 strength nutes with SPT at 1/2 strength once a week, does that sound ok, or not enough?

thanks brotha

Hey guys,
Quick question for you.

I am currently having some issues with my grow... and I have been attributing those issues to my pH being high.
My leaves are yellow, growth was severely stunted, and the leaves are small. I have had that issue corrected for quite some time, and things just haven't rebounded as I had hoped.

I am now in week 4.5 of Flower, and things are budding, but they look sad compared to my previous BMO grows.

75% local organic potting soil, 25% perlite.
pH is now at 7. (was as high as 8 at one time)

Same soil, same ferts, same schedule... horrible results.
FP, GIG, and SPT all feeding according to OhSo's schedule, which works quite well for me.

It has now occurred to me that maybe it has to do with my BMO nutes.
They may be past the expiration date.

Have any of you used the BMO line past its expiration date? If so, what were your results?

Any help is greatly appreciated,
BILLDO

I should point out, that when i shake the bottles, they still fizz.
Also, they are about 2 months past the expiration.

Thanks!

Yeah. I watered with 1tsp of epsom salts per gallon of pH 6.9 water a few days ago... and things have not gotten better.

This is truly the saddest grow I have ever had... and I hate that I have no idea what the culprit was.

I did things exactly as I have in the past, and now something is SORELY lacking.

It looks like a MG or N deficiency, but nothing is responding.
I have been using RO water from the store, so the MG deficiency seemed like a likely culprit.

I am now entering week 6 and things look like shit. Tiny stunted plants with spots and yellow dead leaves and little buds.

Gag.
Any words of advice, anyone?

BMO is not for every one, humbolt is def not for me at the moment, price wize that is. i have a place for BMo and will be using them for a while.
ohso s feeding advice is just a base, you still have to tinker with it based on your plants needs. shelf life suck, but he has explained what one as the product user can do to extend shelf life.
i would also expect keeping the cap loose and a low shelf life from BMO just cuz there BMo..theres live matter in there, i have a combo deal sitting right now and it started to collect whats called mother at the bottom of the bottles,at first i freaked out but eased back once BMo told me it was normal.
a good example would be apple cider vinegar...check out the dif in the regular stuff you find at the super market and the un-pasturised brand you find at health food stores,it wiil contain mother while the crappy corporate super market stuff is less efficient...not to mention BMo is not so much after you wallet like these other know companys, the labeling of the bottles and the magazine adds can explain it....just my two cents

you can,it will enhance it big time. One ounce will work for 2/3 gallons, two ounces when brewing 4/5 gallons of compost tea...
for seedlings-1gal water, 4tbls castings, 1tsp SPT, and 1tbls molasses...thats just a mix i picked up from a member on here

Bump....! Had to test this out for myself. Fox farm and Roots Organic mix, hopefully the micro beasties will like the enviroment! First time full strength SPT in 5 gallons of water overnight for about 12hr, along with about 5 TBS of Mollasses to populate the little basterds. I plan on using the BMO nute line all the way through this grow, hopefully with decent results.

Hey Sean 1234, how did the spt work out with your soil mix. Did the new beasties blend well with your mix or was it too hot? I know this thread is old as shite but im new to this site, and i've got some SPT on the way so I was just looking for any feedback or advice. thx
