UVA's diversity attendance has dropped heavily in the recent years because of situations like this.

ABC aren't cops.

they're just more men running around with gun hard-ons.

Even my most cop-defending friend admitted today that he was shocked to read that the student wasn't even charged with resisting arrest. That's a red flag.

My bias is towards the default position that a cop, both individually and categorically, is a dick until excellent evidence is offered to the contrary.

If you were a cop, what would make you not dare do this type of shit again?

Apparently, the current form of "punishment" isn't doing a fucking thing. Take them to court you say? So their bosses' golfing buddies can serve him justice? Yeah, lets all watch to see how that works out.

The thin blue line is wide when it needs to be and has lots of levels of self protection built into it.

The various branches of the Police State, judicial, legislative and executive all do their part to keep their part of the trough full.
