I have some plans here that i have drawn up for my veg box. i was planning on using wood but then i just had this idea so here it is. a friend of mine can get me stainless steel for free. so i was thinking of maybe making my box out out stainless. would this be good for reflecting light? would it create hot spots? has anyone try'd to make a veg box from this material?

I think that it would create hot spots, but with the right reflector it might work:peace:

My guess is you are going to create an oven.
first off i asked specific questions and you didnt answer any of them.
second i have seen your work.. lol.
third i would have proper venilation a fan blowing fresh air in and a fan pulling hot air out. This type of system is known as an Active Exhaust, Passive Intake System.

if your just going to be an ass..... dont reply to my threads.

have a nice day.

That doesnt mean its not going to cook your plants under a metal radiator test it before you put plants in it and get to know its operating temperatures.

Whats wrong with my work? I created the sun in a cardboard box. I think thats pretty impressive.

Cool Idea, is the dirt going to contact the Stainless? if it is make sure to use a plastic liner, as I have used stainless pots for other plants and they always die as soon as I nute them, I think it is a reaction to the chem and the steel.
Also be careful cutting the stainless do not try to torch it as the fumes will make you sick.
