veg cycle???

So my buddy suggested that I run a 24hr 6 days a week cycle and on the 7th day shut the lights off to match the 18/6 cycle. Does this make sense? Currently im running 24hrs 7 days a week under CFL's. Thanks for any input.

No, if the lights are shut off for a full day the plant may start to flower a little then when brought back on the plant will try and revert back and this will cause delay in growth and my decrease your yield. try and stick with 24hrs/7days or 18/6 hrs /7 day schedule.
