VEG TIME INQUERY

A lot of Growers say they usually veg for one month. I try myself to veg in one month but it seems like it's not enough time to fill my canopy. I'm constantly super cropping my plant and topping it to force my cannopy to be even. Every time I do that it takes time for the plant to bounce back and heal. So I'm just wondering how Growers do all these techniques and still be able to only veg for one month. I have four plants in a 4 x 4 tent and it seems like I have to veg at least for a month and a half to two months just to fill the canopy. The super cropping and Topping makes me take longer to veg because of all the healing the plant is doing. Thanks.

Maybe a stronger nute and light regimen during veg will speed them up?
What about less veg and more plants to fill the canopy.
Less time = more harvests

4x4 equals 16 square feet for a total of just 4 square feet each. That's a 2x2 area. I couldn't imagine keeping a plant to under 2x2 with a 1 month veg let alone up to 2. I expect that there are other aspects of your garden that are slowing their growth. If there are then the recovery from training would take even longer.

Can you provide more info about temp/hum, lighting, soil, nutrients etc?

How big do they get for a month of veg?
I veg for 4-5 weeks tops. And that is counting from the day they sprout from seed. The plants get about 3-4ft tall, 4 plants completely fill a 4x4 tent with no spare room and I get about 150-190 grams per plant dried and cured.

edit: grown naturally, no topping or fimming or anything else.

Oh damn yeah that's good, currently I popped my seeds October 15th so thats how big they are. I feel like they'e growing slow if it's compared to yours. Only 6inches so far
So that's why I have 15 plants. I'll be flipping them on the 3rd of December or a bit sooner.

They look a little slow, but not terrible. At least they are healthy! I flower when they are around 12-14inches, guestimates, I don't use a ruler.

It' master kush by humboldt. I've been told by a master grower usually 4 weeks from that picture they're 3-4foot plants in veg. But my humidity is only 31% and my temperture is 75F I'm also only using 1. 1000watt light for a 8x7 room lol so maybe because the light isn't specially centered on the plants they'e growing slow.
In the picture you can't see the light. But you get the general idea lol

I veg for 3-4 weeks under 256W of T8 flourescents in a 4x2 veg box lined with mylar, then they go under a 400W mh for 1 week or so and then flower under a 400W hps in a 4x4 tent. I was using 2 90W ufo leds as supplemental lighting. Your 1000W is strong, but a single light won't have the coverage for that big of a grow area imo.

Sure you can grow a plant from seed in a short amount of time but seedlings grow slow and every single plant has a different grow rate as well as different nute needs combined with a lack of maturity. You will get smaller yields for the same amount of time. you will also get an uneven canopy with the different growth rates.
Clones are your best bet unless you are looking for a new mother. They grow faster and are more predictable and easy to take care of .
And super simple to make.

You will need to get a humidifier in there till they get bigger.
www groweedeasy suggests 40-60 RH for veg. 31% is to low and will slow growth.

Your light will only cover a 5x5 area so...
1 big plant 10-14 gal @ 5-7 feet
4 med. plants in 8 gal @ 4-5 feet
9 small in 5 gal @ 2-3 feet

I have a little one from wall world.
Remember that it is relative humidity.
So, if you have a fan pulling all of the air out of your grow too fast your humidity will not go up. There is a balance you will need to work on. When the plants get bigger you will have the opposite problem with all the leaf.

Your lighting sounds spot on. May i ask what you are doing for airflow/ppm used for nutes/light schedule?

There are 7 plants in this room (3.5 x 3.5) under 400w HPS @ 12/12
They are in 6 gal DWC veg for 3 weeks @ 18/6 and 75% lumins from clones. I will get at least 12-14 oz in here. Have a look.
You will need to get your plants closer together and back that thing off to 600w then try to get your light close enough that your hand is not getting cooked when held by the tops. Try 10- 12 inches. There are charts that will tell you where it should be.

I just switched my lighting to 20/4; my airflow is 740cfm but I have a speed controller and i got it on the lowest setting. Changing my extraction fan to a lower CFM would help so I get barely any extraction out of it to the point my RH could be higher. My nutes are at 500-600ppm sometimes for watering I feed it 200ppm when i know they don' need much food. Currently put the plants directly under the 1.1k watt and we will see if it changes how fast that grows.
