Ventilation idea

Ok so i have been trying to think of a good way to vent my grow room, the only problem is that the walls are covered with pegboard and i rent where im at, so i can't go cutting holes in the wall because if i ever move i couldn't patch it up the same as i could dry wall. My idea was this, purchase a new door for the grow room, remove the original door and run all of my exhaust vent pipes through the door, i already have 2 4" exahaust holes in the wall opposite the door, but those were there when i moved in, my renter said the guy used to use my grow room for a dark room or photolab :p WIll it work? i still have a month or so to work around with some ideas any advice would be helpful

sounds just about perfect. don't forget you can get a reducer for duct work if you already have a 6" or bigger fan (so you can use the 4" holes).

right on, im getting a small fan because my entire room is only 6 ft by 4.5 ft by 7ft ceiling and i figured that to exchange the air every 5 min i only needed a 40 cfm fan....the fan im looking at is a 40 watt 4" fan that has a 200cfm rating. also i need to know if i should mount the fan on the ceiling, then run a few feet of vent fan tubing to the door. I thought that if i did it this way it would allow me plenty of room to open the door and not have the ducting hanging in the way. ANd i have my room split into a veg and a flower area, do i need to vent each one of these spaces or would the 200 cfm fan in the small 6x4.5x7 ft room be enough to exchange new air in

sounds like a good plan man. def go with the 200cfm fan. u wont regret it. u could probly hook up a y connector and duct each room with the fan. but i would get a 6 inch and 300+ cfm fan

here are some pics so you can sort of get an idea what im working with, the space below the counter is veg, on top of the counter is flower {no plants there yet} there is a picture of the 4" hole that was here when i moved in...but the problem is, i thought that the intake holes were supposed to be low on the wall, this one is near the ceiling. I figured i could run vent fan tubing from the hole to the floor if that would help. Im going to seal in the flowering area with black and white poly and velcro, plus i ran out of mylar so im missing a small chunk. do i need more intake holes that just that one?

are you going to exhaust out the hole in the top? i know u said u will probly use that as an intake. why not use that an an exhaust and cut a few flaps in the bottom of the poly.

i can't really use that for and exhaust hole because on the other side of that wall is the rest of the basement and i cant run any ducting through that part of the basement b/c people other than myself are in this part of the house, it has to be intake to avoid smell escaping to the rest of the basement. on the other hand the door leads to a room that is secluded from the rest of the house and that room has a window, so i was going to exhaust from the room through the door, and out the window. that way air would be drawn from the rest of the basement through that hole and into the room {or via more if i need them} because the fan would suck the air out of the room and vent it to outside causing a constant exchange of air. is this a feasible plan?
