What if I got a bunch of venus traps near my plants(they'll have their own container and it wont be touching the actual plant. but maybe sitting next to it.
would that work to kill off bugs and pests?

Yes, and no. Venus fly traps will primarily attract....flies.

But they can help if just a bit. Might as well throw in some pitcher plants as well...

lol thats funny! i thought my friend fed it beef and it livd for a long time with something else too though.

What would be the best way to prevent pests from occurring? besides keeping the temperatures constant without fluctuating too much. less chance for humidity.

Spray your plants with an insecticide while they are still in a veg state. That should give them plenty of protection. Also, maintaining the plants health without stress will help greatly. A strong plant will always do better. :peace:

Dont do venus fly traps, the ones you can get at home depot and lowes are small and weak. Not to mention venus fly traps need loootts of moisture and indirect sunlight since they are native to swamps. I put a couple in my grow room and they dried out very quick even though i fed them fruit flys and misted them 3 times a day. They are really cool plants though!
