Very broad, dangerous, and likely unconstitutional search powers included in Ontario's new cannabis

Transporting unpackaged weed in a car or boat can be punished by a $250,000 fine or two years less a day in jail which seems ... excessive

Hahahahahahaha what a joke!
The day I got my prescription, the doc said I can travel anywhere in Canada with my meds. If I get pulled over he said to be upfront with the officer and he has to let me be on my way. At the airport I can have it in my carry-on luggage.

Fuck boycotting stores, boycott recreational legalization all together. Fuck em if they can't take a joke..... Fuck em if they can!

What if I am travelling with marijuana/caught with marijuana on me?
You may only travel within Canada with your medicinal marijuana. If you are travelling outside your home with possession of marijuana, it must be in the original packaging sent by the LP and you must have the verification card on you. These 2 things make marijuana possession legal for you.

That's why I made 1 purchase of 2 separate strains for the bottle and the card..Can't fit a lot but enough.

So basically rec users can't bring some smoke to a buddy's place cuz they'll be traveling with it.
Just another reason everybody needs to start growing.
Guess it's got to be locked in the glove box to transport.

No different than the laws as they apply to booze. Can't have an open case in the cab of the truck even if you're dead sober and not drinking any. It doesn't make any sense, but then when has govt. legislation EVER made sense. I have a single-cab truck, am I supposed to put my baggie in the box and hope it doesn't blow out and into some kids hands?

Better get a locking tool box installed behind the cab. We don't want children being exposed to an unresearched drug.

Think I'm going to rent a boat and smoke some pot on it. If it has a sink I can drink on it under anchor, so why they hell can't I smoke a doob?

In the US, if you are on a boat, there has to be a sober person in command at all times, even at anchor. The reality is that boats slip anchorages all the time, and there has to be someone who can command the vessel if that occurrs. The cg and most leos don't give any slack on this rule.

About the only exception is if you are tied to the dock and no obvious plans to make way have been made.

Same goes for vehicles. If you are in the car and have the keys you can be busted for dui even if the car isn't running. You are assumed to be in control of the vehicle and that is enuf.
