Vigorous Guerilla grow 2017

G'day y'all, im new here. 3rd time grower, first time shower. All of my previous experience has been indoor with cfl's and hps lights.

Now for the fun part. I quit my day job, vacated my apartment, and moved up north to grow some plants before the season ran out. I wasnt doing anything with my life anyways so i decided why not go be a mountain man for a few months and hopefully learn a thing or two.

So after i got up here around May 20 i used literally every tool google earth has to offer in search of the right spot. After some personal recon I found 2 spots worth their salt. At this point, i began to purchase plants. Now i didnt have a medical recommendation at the time so basically i ended up on craigslist just trolling through people until i found a couple different sources. After a couple seedy deals in a Circle K parking lot, i had 17 girls for $140.

STRAIN LIST:
10 Cherry pie
6 Mendo Breath
1 Animal Cookies

MEDIUM: Soil (eb stone organic, and emerald triangle blah blah 420 recipe)

PLANTED ON: JUNE 22nd

The cherry pie looked pretty beat up when i got them to the spot, super nitrogen deficient, and wilty. The first pic is the cherry pie a few hours after purchase

This one is some of the Mendo and Animal Cookies at 2 weeks veg

Now all of these clones went straight outside to partial shade for the majority of the day. In june temps were in the 100's but the plants blew up anyways. Ive become very fond of shade growing. I came back once every few days to gradually give them more direct light. I did not feed for the entire veg time, all i did was transplant around week 3 of veg to bigger pots/bags.

This is at about week 3. (July 14)

I didnt want to spend big money so i cheaped out a few times this grow. First off i made a group of bags about 10 gallons volume out of some 8oz painters canvas. I liked the idea of breathability so thats why canvas.

And this is the Animal cookies in the back left also week 4. (July 22)

Nothing of particular interest happened in the next couple weeks until... BAM

pistils galore! (August 6)

Once flowering started, my sorry looking cherry pies almost completely bounced back.

This is a cherry pie at the end of week 1 flower.

At this point i began feeding some sea crap that had some good N-P-K numbers. Like 2-22-20 or something. Feeding started at a low dosage. One thumbfull (pile of powder on my thumb) per gallon. Plants responded nicely.

Moving into september i had a couple problems crop up. First i had aphids, and second my PH was waaaaayyyy too basic in one of the mendo breaths. Like a 7.4 i measured.

This is her. The cardboard box is up to block sunlight from heating the pot. I put her in a 5 gal home depot bucket cause i didnt want to make any more bags. So i got a bag of ladybugs and released them to deal with the aphids, and used a lemon to ph my water to 4.8. After a couple gallons she is starting to adjust down to 6.8. Im working it down to 6.5. Hopefully i caught it soon enough for her to bounce back.

Anyways the rest look fricken gorgeous so here they are:

Its been a minute since the last update. Had some weather move through, most of the ladies handled it fine. Other than that my grow seemed to suffer from lack of direct light later in the year. I placed most of them inside clumps of bushes, and they did not have time to stretch up toward full sun by the time flowering was in full swing. Also relevant, i did not put holes in the bottom of some potted plants. As such, i cut feeding on september 20th to avoid flushing issues at harvest.

Anyways, got some cold weather and the cherry pie started to purple.
Sep 23rd below.

As for october, harvest approaches. My trichomes are milky on buds, and 50% amber on sugar leaves on most of the cherry pies. They are coming down this week. I can tell the mendo, and animal cookies will both require another week at least. Ive taken down 1 plant already. The lucky number 1 is a cherry pie that was very thoroughly flushed by the time the axe came down.
This is her on october 3rd.

This is her on the 8th. Chopped, trimmed, and headed to hang.

I manicured on the stem without cutting branches, and collected the sugar leaf to make some fresh bho. I hung the whole plant up to dry for prob 5-6 days. I plan to do the same with the rest and then cure in jars for a couple weeks. Will update with final harvest yada yada in about 3 weeks.
