Under more research those new Vipar leds are low grade clones of SAGA leds grow lights that contain 3w/5w cree and 3w osram chips.

Stick with COBs that are advertising here and who have a presence on this forum. You will not go wrong. Watch and listen, observe and learn before you jump. This is the best canna related forum I have found on led lighting. Most offer bad info and misinfo.
I bought my cob kit after countless hours of research , mostly on this website. I personally wouldn't purchase any of those pre-made LEDs for flower you'll probably just kick yourself in the ass when you finally do come around to cobs and realize you wish you had some of that money back for some real flower lights. They do work well for veg though. Btw many people on this forum are VERY knowledgeable about the subject. Good luck grow bro !!

Yeah I wasn't going to go with those but I am really thinking on waiting till I sell one of my cars back to the last owner before I buy a led lamp so I can get a high end one which will be just before jan when I sell it back to him. I don't want to I like using it as a thrasher and track car but the guy is begging to buy it back. I wouldn't mind using 1-1.2k for one then.

Maybe for center spot readings which mean nothing. They use lenses to magnify the light so considering it's 285 watts and less efficient than HID it cannot possibly be anything but half of a 600w HPS
It isn't less efficient. And that isn't a center reading. That's in every 18x18 per emitter, with still-spectacular side readouts. HID's incadescent system, in general, is more inefficient than the COB's electroluminescence, as HID uses wattage to purposefully produce heat to produce light, whereas COB uses electroluminescence, not using heat to produce light.

I'm growing 2 plants in a 4x2 plus a pineapple, 6 cacti, 2 pothos, and a succulent in my side and indirect lighting. Trust me, you can see it with my grow.

I used to use two ViparSpectra V450s. One Tasty T1 outperformed both. Nice little lights for what they are, the ViparSpectras. They are good enough to grow a couple ounces per plant, and they aren't as outrageously priced like Platinum, but with similar or better quality. However, ViparSpectra and all panels are obsolete in comparison to COBs.

Can you provide a link where they reference cree and osram please. I've only seen epi and Cree which historically means 2 Cree and 100 epis

Unless you're talking about another light than the vipers.....

I think 600 watts of cob LED will generate roughly 340 par watts and give you one cob spaced 1.5 feet apart equidistant from each other and give you ppf readings of 580 to 600 consistently across the canopy

I'd argue it depends on how hard they are driven. Mine are driven harder than most.

Dude ,I don't think I know enough to argue!! I've only had my cob setup since veterans day and still tryin to come up w/ the scoots for a par meter. I like to dream big though!
I wasn't trying to be a dick. I'd guess if you are getting 500-600 across the canopy, you're probably driving at 700-1400mA.
