Vomit & poop, what's the scoop?

Hello boys and girls, I'm trying to solve a mystery.
Do dogs eat bone meal? I added some to the outdoor garden, raked it in, then covered it with dirt from my recycle pile. Now my dogs are sick -- at opposite ends. Upon closer inspection of the "material", I'm pretty sure they got sick from eating a bunch of dirt. (To get the bone meal?)

seems all critters tend to love the organic amendments, especially guano, blood and bone meal.
Damn it.
Maybe I should amend something nasty along with it. I was in home depot yesterday and almost bought a bag of snail & slug deterrent that was made from blood meal & cinnamon. Maybe that would work on dogs too? I put it back because the smell was super strong, even in a sealed plastic bag.
My dogs are so dumb, they might like it and eat more!
:dunce: :dunce:

Maybe cayenne pepper? I've got a bunch of that.:fire:

dont use cayenne pepper, I'm quite positive you can really fuck up your dogs sense of smell with that stuff if they get a good whiff of it.

I know it burns their paws and mouth if they eat it (that's the idea), but I have not been able to find any evidence that it permanently affects their sense of smell.
Why do you believe this with such certainty?
