i still say my glock 21 is better... I know the 10mm is being widely accepted as the new round for most law enforcement agencies, but my faith is in the .45 auto...

so then my glock 21 would be a great side arm?

Glock 20 10mm = Dead Bear & Dead Boar.

Take a magnum sized round. Like a .357 mag. In a revolver. I wouldn't plug a bear with all 10 of my .45's....it'd just piss him off. Unless he's a small black bear. I'm not sure but I think the skull of a bear is to thick...a .45 won't do the trick so I have been told. But I don't bear hunt. Just don't wanna see you shoot his ass and then not post anymore or end up posting one handed forever.

I like a .357 mag, i had a rossi but i traded it in towards my .45auto. I am looking into the new .357mag that came out the taurus tracker i think... what long rifle do you think will do the trick? I got a marlin 30-30 lever action that i am really comfortable with and dead on aim open sight. Do you think that is enough with well placed round?

Your 30-30 should do the trick. I have a Taurus .45 and I love it, and the tracker titanium is soooo light and it's fires really smoothly. Check it out.

I have always used a 30-06 or 30 ought 6 when going into the woods. It'll stop just about anything.

If you're gonna be in bear country just bring your 12 gauge and 00 buckshot. I'd be scared for my life pointing a .45 at any kind of bear.

yeah, the 30 ought 6 is a big round. For buck hunting, i like to use my .270 or .308, but usually the .270. My glock is a .45, although my brother has a comanche .45 long colt and a taurus judge... all nice weapons.

I remember when hunters would go to my grampas ranch hunting boone and crocket bucks with 30-06 and when we would gut and cape them, there was nothing left. poor animal, i just think it is overkill...

ive been wanting to get a remington model 700 .204... it is extremely fast, like 4500 fps or so... i would love to use that when we go jack rabbit hunting... right now we use a .17 hmr,, nice little round that has some power...
